The only matches I actually enjoyed was Aries vs Kendrick (opener) and Anderson vs. Bully Ray. Hogan/Sting was your typical RUSSO SWERVE extraordinaire with Hogan turning face.
I was really disappointed in Roode/Angle though. The match seemed rather short for a Main Event, and having Roode lose to Angle was a ****ing waste of all the effort they put into building him up. Angle will probably drop the title to him on free tv, but it'll be a waste by that point. Daniels/Styles was pretty bad, the knockouts thing was the expected trainwreck and the three way was a cluster ****. TNA as usual |

So Vengeance was a thing...and here are my thoughts:
-Kofi/Bourne vs. Ziggler/Swagger: Match was good. Too bad Vince could give a **** less about tag teams. -Ziggler vs. Ryder: Pretty short; could of been a really good match with more time. -Phoenix vs. Torres: This was when I decided to take a shit. Couldn't of been a better decision. -Christian vs. Shaemus: Not bad, but another disappointing match mainly because they are capable of doing much better. -Miz/Truth vs. Huntorr/Punk: Oh boy, Kevin Nash run in (yawn). Thanks for putting a Raw match on a PPV -Orton vs Rhodes: Match moved at an ungodly slow pace, Cody was buried. Sigh -Show vs. Henry: Ring collapse, while starting to be overdone, was fitting for a match like this. Wasn't great, but better than I was expecting. -Cena vs. Del Rio: Another Miz-Truth run in, Cena no sells everything. Del Rio wins, but looks like a chump. Even when you win....you still lose. Only reason this match didn't blow was due to the bumps Del Rio was taking like a champ. -General thought: There's just too many PPVs. Too many performers are being recycled for the same set of matches over and over and the booking quality is dropping at a tremendous rate. It really is not surprising PPV buy-rates are tanking. They need to cut out about a 3rd of the overall amount of PPVs. Work out deals with advertisers and sprinkle around some commercial free "supershows." Feels like I've watched 3 of these PPVs around a month of time. |

That was the flattest, lamest way possible to introduce the Rock tagteam at Survivor Series.

So, the CM Punk angle has killed wrestling for me.
I watch, if I feel like it, the first hour of raw, and then the last 5 minutes, since my dvr is locked out at 9 pm to record a couple of primetime network shows. And I don't feel like I'm missing anything. At this point, I can just save myself the time and read a recap. They're usually awful programs anyway. But back to Punk... The timeline of the angle, best as I can remember, is this:
So somehow we've gone from Punk championing change to Punk being generic babyface number 4 (behind Huntor, Cena and Orton), apparently okay with everything as long as he gets his ice cream bar. He's losing repeatedly on PPV, now he doesn't get revenge on Nash, who thanks to his "medical condition" doesn't have to job to anybody but his good friend HHH (who already has a win over Punk - because Huntor really needs the rub... this is classic Nash/Cliq behavior...), and now Punk's almost certainly going to lose to Alberto Del Rio at Survivor Series. Which I'm actually okay with philosophically because they need to stop tossing the belt around. But jesus, this has been handled almost as poorly as Nexus. And it's got me tuning out. To the point where I feel stupid about ever buying into the angle at all to begin with. |

That was the most unintentionally hilarious bunch of hot garbage I've ever seen. I'm glad there was a football game on that was not quite as bad, but almost.

So I take it you will watch the muppets next week instead of the Chiefs kicking the tar out of the Chargers?

I forgot about the Muppets. But seeing as how Raw sucks lately, I'll be watching the Chiefs sucky QB. I'm sure most everyone in here will be as well. |

I hadn't even thought about the Chiefs game monday and the havoc it wreaks with my dvr. I guess I'll hook up my second TV and watch the game in the bedroom over the 9 o'clock hour, assuming it's still worth watching at that point. I used to have it set up that way to watch Raw, but it's not worth it now.

I watched, literally, 5 minutes of Raw tonight. The last 5 minutes. During which Cena beat Miz and then beat up the interfering Truth.
Why does he even need a partner for Survivor Series? This shit is indefensible now. |

Anyone else watch Monday's show? Ziggler jobbed to Morrison (apparently the first win Morrison's had since August). Then the high point of the show: Punk owning Del Rio in a promo. Stupid segment with Kelly being in Maxim. Beth & Natty are pissed, then the face divas save the day. Kevin Nash cut a 10-15 minute promo on HHH. Short segment with Funkman, Coffee Boy, Punk & Del Rio backstage. Apparently Brodus Clay is returning next week (awesome). Ryder & Cena vs. Miz & Truth as the ME. Miz pins Cena because Truth holds his leg down. They're really trying to make us give a shit about this tag team match, aren't they? Crap show. If you're gunna watch anything, watch Punk's promo with Del Rio. |

Anyway, I'd probably go to SS, just to see Rocky's return and the possibility of Punk winning the title (if money's no issue, anyway). Unfortunately, I'm nowhere near NYC lol |

I've completely lost interest. I'm not sure I'd even watch a survivor series stream at this point. I think Foley's back Monday. Don't care.
However, this is worth watching. Daniel Bryan versus William Regal on this week's Superstars, starting at about the 22-minute mark (including a bit of classic regal entrance music ): If only Raw and Smackdown could be more like this... |
