Peterson asks to be traded

https://mobile.twitter.com/adamschef...40781270999046

[Schefter] Cardinals’ All Pro CB Patrick Peterson has asked Arizona to deal him by the Oct. 30 trade deadline, per league sources. Peterson feels as if the situation is deteriorating and continues to reaffirm to others that he “desperately” wants out, per source.

Yes, do it. Screw the picks. They are all at the end of every round anyway.

You've got 3 all in seasons to play with here while Pat is on his rookie deal, is what I'd imagine they're thinking.

Problem I see with that is, year to year is just so damn hard to replicate. Someone goes down with an injury, etc.

Just, **** man it's frustrating.

You can say it's not an all in season but what happens if you blow another draft and have 2 years of key offensive guys being hurt?

Next thing you know you are in the last year of the window being like **** we wasted this.

Should be an all in year. And next and next year. Every year.

Then he lists all their FA's and money they'll have, does he think they're gonna just go sign Thomas and Clowney or something?

We don't have a 4th round pick.

I'd do it for this:

2019 1st round pick
2020 2nd round pick
2020 4th round pick

for

Patrick Peterson
2019 6th round pick

Some of you have lost your damn minds.

I'm not convinced Patrick Peterson makes the Chiefs THAT much better. In an offensive league even star corners get beat.

So what, we have a corner who gives up 50 yards to AJ instead of 100? That's not worth the front half of your draft. No ****ing way.

The Chiefs issue is tackling and not controlling run gaps. Peterson doesn't fix that.

Our trio of corners have held up fine. They haven't been atrocious like we anticipated. Our Safety play, up until Lucas, and our ILB play has been atrocious.

That's the problem with free agency, it's expensive as **** to go into. Especially for a guy like Clowney. You can't really go buy your way to it if you wanna keep your own.

Someone could go down with an injury tomorrow. Or Sunday. Or in Round 1. Someone could ALWAYS go down with an injury and never recover. Or come back good as new the following season and make you wish you had that draft capital back for the next year.

More bites is better.

What's the most the Patriots have given up for a player in the belichick era? Giving up premium picks doesn't seem to be their thing

Just having a corner that can lock down a side of the field makes it so much easier to do all that others stuff though.

They'd have beat NE with Peterson, he's the difference for that 1 team you have to get by.

We can play what if's all day long. What if you trade for him and breaks his leg the following game? Now you're out your stud corner AND the players you coulda had via draft.

It seems like we forgot why we all wanted a franchise QB in the 1st place. When you have that guy, you're in it EVERY year and you don't need to make moves like this where you over compensate and mortgage your future.

No way in hell should the Chiefs trade a 1st, 2nd and 4th.

They'd also have beaten NE if they didn't turn the ball over twice....
