Nope. I've found the regular 44 to be pretty much useless, though. The only one-handed weapon I use is the alien pistol.

You have to do the Agatha's song, quest.

You give her the stradivarius and the sheet music and then when shes talking to you, you click the right speech option and she'll give you the gun.

Lincoln's repeater rips them up. Its damage rating is deceiving. It is a one-shot killer in VATS.

3 super mutants, three head shots in VATS, 3 dead super mutants ;-)

It also kicks deathclaw's arse, but that takes three headshots in VATS. Those fuckers are TOUGH

The Blackhawk is pretty sweet.

I like finding the special versions of the regular weapons.

Anybody else found the Xuanlong Assault Rifle? It is an Ak-47 that has a 36-round magazine, does more damage, and has pretty good durability. It can also be repaired with the other regular AK's. It is my go to gun when I don't want to waste .44 ammo.

It was my favorite, up until I got the Lincoln Repeater and Harkness's Plasma Rifle.

BTW- If you deliver 20 regular Chinese Assault Rifles to the arms shop guy in Paradise Falls, his stock really improves.

Yeah, the mirelurks are the worst enemy in the game, IMO. There's always a bunch of them, too. ****ers.

The Xuanlong rifle rocks, too. That's always one of the first guns I get.

I also recently wrapped up getting the slaver guy his 20 Chinese assault rifles, so I'll go pay him a visit soon.

I just started playing yesterday, and ran into some mirelurks today. (On the quest where you have to find "The Family" and find Ian West.)

Those bastards are tough. Took me a bit to realize I needed to shoot 'em in the face. They like to duck and cover.
