I would say that a good entry level would be the Innokin MVP. There are a couple different versions. Version 3 being the latest IIRC. It will get you in the box mod type feel and a decent wattage to vape well. Every stick type battery I have ever had always left me with a desire for more. Right now I am using a IPV mini II that will vape from 5-70watts. I am using a Aspire Atlantis tank with a .5 ohm coil at 25 watts. It is heavenly to vape from. |

The Atlantis 2.0 is out:
Not worth it to me to upgrade from the 1.0, but I'd grab the 2.0 if I didn't already have the first one. |

So last Tuesday I picked up an ego one kit, haven't had a cigarette since. I've spent about $10 on the liquid in that time, as opposed to a carton of smokes at $110.
So now my question is do I stick with this ego and buy a back up or should I explore something else that might be better quality?

What this means, assuming his stats are correct, is that you are getting a mighty fine vape and a seriously good bang for your buck. This is perfect for long time/heavy smoker that wants to quit. I hope you did get the 2100 mAh battery because that will really make a difference in your vaping experience. I would strongly suggest that you get a second battery (2100 mAh) and call it good. I am assuming that you are using the 1.0 ohms (resistance) head right now. Down the road if you want to play around a bit grab a pack of the 0.5 ohm heads. Or grab both and see what you like. If your plan is to use this to replace smoking and then stop vaping as well at some point, go ahead and stop right there. You have the device you need. Start using lower and lower nicotine levels in your fluid as it suits you with a goal of going zero nic once you can handle it. |

Thanks listo, I did get the larger battery version and am using the 1.0 ohm head, I didn't really care for the .5ohm) I started on 18 mg nic but am now using 8mg. I planned on eventually going a bit lower.
It's working pretty well for me so far but I've been considering the second battery. I was toying with just getting a second unit. So here in town I get 15ml of "vapage" brand juice for $10. Is it worth looking for cheaper online, or is that a fair price?

I can usually get 15 ml for about $8 depending on the quality. And then online you can get all kinds of deals. I like Mister E Liquid (http://www.mister-e-liquid.com) but there are a bunch of links in this thread to juice suppliers. I have almost always found it cheaper online. I have been mixing it together though since I found out that you can vape the VG that you buy at a drug store. Just make sure it is USP grade. I ordered some stuff online that I knew had really good strong flavor, and I ordered it 100% PG, it was $14.50 for 30 ml. Then I bought some VG from Wal Mart. It was something like $3.50 for a 177 ml bottle of the VG. I mixed it about 80/20 (vg from Wal Mart/pg from juice) because my atomizer works pretty well at high VG levels. That gave me 150 ml of juice for about $17. I have a few little bottles of local store bought stuff that I mix in with VG as well.

I just saw this. It's the Innokin iSub tank. Comes with two 0.5 ohm heads and has a 4 ml capacity. It's only $12.50 at the MyVaporStore site.

The iSub will come in three tiers (at three price ranges I assume) depending on the tank. The one pictured above has a PC plastic tank, the G has a pyrex tank and the Pro has a stainless steel tank.
