So apparently the Bruins parade through Boston yesterday had one million spectators, the largest parade ever in the city. More than for the Patriots, for the Celtics, and even for the Red Sox. So much for Boston no longer being a hockey town.
They're right now honoring the Bruins before the Red Sox game. The Bruins drove onto Fenway's field in the duckboats and drove around the edge of the stands, LOL. They even just played the hockey horn over the loudspeaker. Awesome. |

It's definitely a great time to be a Boston sports fan. All 4 teams winning in 7 years is the fastest time frame ever, 7 total championships in 10 years is pretty darned good, and it's been 9 trips to the championship round/game in that time (Celtics loss to Lakers, Patriots loss to Giants).
As Boston fans, we obviously don't want this to end, but it has to eventually. The Celtics are probably already past the expiration date (The Perkins trade doesn't seem to have helped at all in that department), and the Patriots window may well close when Brady declines/leaves/retires. Fortunately, with the Bruins being a very young team, and the Red Sox being well run, Boston sports should have at least 2 teams in the hunt for quite a while. |

I disagree about the Pats, though, They should be competitive for at least another five seasons, as long as Belichick hangs around along with Brady. If, in that time, they can find the QB Of The Future, they can continue to compete. (Hell, the QB Of The Future might have been found as recently as this past draft; if anyone can turn Mallett into a star, it's Belichick and Brady combined with no pressure to jump right in and start.) |

The kissing chick is not as hot as the boobie chick, even if the boobie chick didn't show her boobs.
