I am not content, and I guarantee Andy and Mahomes do not want a repeat of the offensive production. Somehow someway it must get better, and they know it.

It worked in Y2 as well - they won a ****ing Championship.

That's the big issue here, people have unrealistic expectations and just expect them to have a video game offense every year that scores on every drive from anywhere on the field.

Defensive players and coaches in this league get paid too. Players change. Coaches change. Sometimes philosophies HAVE to change.

Tyreek Hill ain't walking through that door. Those days are over, even if they do sign Hollywood or draft Worthy.

We've proven we can win a variety of different ways. Accept it, celebrate 3 Lombardi's in 5 years and move the **** on already. 2024 and beyond is gonna be different.

This is what I mean about expectations. We're not gonna be the #1 offense every year, nor do we need to be.

It "worked" this year, they won it for sure. But winning is awful strong deodorant and I don't think anyone woudl argue that they can go into next year with the same type of offense and expect to win.

Defense doesn't translate year to year as well, so while ours should still be good, I'm skeptical we get another performance like last year.

I trust veach not to make the same mistake twice. We made it work but we’re capable of better. At bare minimum, lack of resources isn’t an excuse to have multiple cardio receivers on the field because you’re actively avoiding them. Bare minimum, you upgrade from rejects to solid enough and that’s already a tremendous upgrade.

Sure, but there's room for improvement.

The 2018 offense isn't coming back, we're all in accordance there.

But it's gonna need to get more explosive.

Well sure. I think we all know that. We all know that Andy/Veach are not going to half-ass this thing with the three-peat within reach. I just get a little tired of the "we just need a great defense and a pissant offense will do," crowd.

*Raises hand*

I will.

With the same personnel, cut the drops in half and last year is a Top 5 offense.

Hell, you could make the argument that this type of "small ball" offense actually HELPED our defense.

Now, if you say you WANT the offense to be more 2019-22 like, fine.

Does it NEED to be? Absolutely not.

Sure his tackle picks have not performed like we would have hoped, but that doesn’t mean he failed to address it. LT is far harder to nail outside the 1st and the blue chip ones go very fast. This draft will be an example of this.

This WR room largely consisted of the same guys from the previous year where they were #1 in the league. Clearly Andy felt that the WR was good enough. I doubt he asked Veach to address it and he was ignored.

Skyy was a rookie in year 1. It was believed that he would improve. He didn’t, but zero people expected him to be a #1 WR.
He doesn’t get credit for a player he did not draft.

Pretty simple concept.

By what metric? Is there a link, and I'm being serious here. Because when I checked teamrankings we weren't 9th. Are we talking total yards, total scoring or something? Because when I checked things like EPa, points per play/yd, etc., we definitely weren't 9th.

The defense was all time great in the playoffs though. Really elite thru the whole season.

That usually doesn't translate year to year.

Now, I don't think they need to blow out the offense, some shit didn't work last year. It happens.

Move forward and pick around and do what you have to.

We weren’t dropping the ball a lot when we went 16 straight drives in the playoffs without a TD.

That might be good offense to you, most fans will expect more.

We were 16th in points per play.

Our prior 2 SB wins we were Number 1.
