Not around many KState fans other than on this board. I was wondering what the general feeling about Martin is right now? From a front row seat on the whole Mangino ousting, I know what can happen to a tough-love/hard-line coach when he's not meeting "expectations". This Big 12 season is still young, so there is still plenty of time to turn things around, but are any fans starting to question his coaching style?
I don't say this to poke/prod or anything of that nature. I generally cheer for KState unless they are playing KU and I like Frank Martin (his interviews are great). Just curious what the general feelings are about him. |

I just watched the shirt-tucks at KU have a knee-jerk reaction to Mangino at KU and I would say that although they coach different sports, he and Martin have very similar styles (weight jokes aside). I just would hate to see the KSU power-brokers pull the same crap with Martin. |

If those shirt tucks wouild rather have Jim Wooldridge I'm sure I could find another team to cheer for. I always liked UCLA.

So, the "shirt-tucks" don't like Frank, and the "towel-pissers" do?

Basketball is kind of an afterthought right now - yes, we realize we aren't very good this year, but meh, still better than the Wooly days. |

I think Frank is fine. He'll get things turned around, he's a good coach who's established a style of play that works. Like Saul said, he needs to recruit better players; or at least players that aren't head cases.
