The point is that there is a clear difference between these players. I mean shit, Atlanta has had a shitty running game for three seasons now but Ryan is still putting up numbers and winning games.

You think Alex Smith would have done shit in Atlanta last year with the #32 running game?
Do you think Julio jones, roddy white, tony Gonzalez and Harry Douglass had anything to do with that?

Alex would make them all worse.

As we have seen, you take away his running game, Alex Smith is going to struggle.

46% vs 30%

That's a pretty big difference.

For Alice to match, he'd have to hit 6 of his next 10, or 60%. It ain't happening. Chances are Alex would hit 3 if his next 10.

Dare you to imagine this offense w/o Charles?

If we go with the dichotomy that the 2013 offense is the 2003 defense, take that down by a level of 50%.

Good god. Turrible.

Love how you likely knew next to nothing about Harry Douglass prior to the last few weeks, but mention him as the type of guy KC just doesn't have.

Considering he's been there for about the entire tenure of Matt Ryan, yeah, I knew who he was.

And I love how you likely don't know a thing about football.

Was it his one TD catch per season that put him on your radar?

I don't think anyone can argue any of this.

But at the same time everyone on the offense has made these screw ups. It's been a problem with the whole offense. I don't think you can say that it's a QB problem with this team.

I here people say Alex should carry the offense and stuff like that but just look at the play to Mccluster. That ball couldn't have been thrown any better then what Alex threw it and it was dropped. What is a QB suppose to do when those things are happening? It's not just that drop there have been others that Alex has throw it well the WR just dropped it . Alex has made a number of bone head throws I'll agree. But for an offense to be good with ANY QB the rest of the guys have to do their part. I don't think you can say that about this team. Just like I don't think that you can say that Alex is doing his all the time.

IMO The offense has been BLAH. It has to be better. But I also think that Alex has been one of the better parts of the offense overall. That's not to say that he has been great. I think he has been average right now. But I think he could be above average if the other guys start doing their part. Football is a team game. It takes all 11 starters to make an offense work. Right now I don't think any of the 11 are playing all that great outside of #25.

I don't think anyone can answer that. We've never seen Alex play with that many studs at WR and the greatest TE to ever play the game. They would make Alex look better

Certainly Alex has never stood in the way of any of his receivers.

Alex has had dozens of WRs that have played for him...

Name 3 that have had improved success (meaning not one good year and done) within a year of not playing with Alex.

No one said he didn't

But he has also never played with a loaded offense like the Falcons have had. Like I said they would help to make Alex look better. I didn't say Alex would make them better
