He's saying that they aren't sure if Merle reallyakes an appearance, or if Daryl is just imagining him. Not that he been a figment pf Daryl's imagination the whole time.

Makes sense, but it would still be super lame if that was the case.

Again, the end of the episode was kind of obvious. Hopefully it sets up something good, because the past few episodes have been shitty.

Definitely take away her gun.
Anyone notice that Darryl got a bloody ear in the mouth at one point? Hmmm. |

Spot on once again.
http://www.salon.com/2011/11/14/dead_from_the_neck_up/ Dead from the neck up "The Walking Dead" has craft and atmosphere; if only the characters weren't so insufferably earnest and dense By Matt Zoller Seitz

The scenes between Merle and Darryl were good, even if he was imaginary. All the more reason to bring him back as soon as possible.

I agree with a lot of that from Salon. The example I would have used if I were them was the discussion between Shane and Rick about Sophia. It started off interesting when they were talking about girlfriends, and then Rick asks Shane's opinion, Shane gives it. But then we get this drawn out scene where Rick is predictably indignant. The emotions of each character could have been shown in just a few lines and some facial expression.
We've been watching, we know the characters. We don't need drawn out character development that we already know. Show Rick ask, show Shane answer, use two or three lines and move on to another scene. We got it, we're not dumb. They try to get drama and conflict from these scenes about philosophical differences, and it doesn't work. It's more like time filler. |
