That's awesome. Rent a wheelchair for when you go to Disneyland too?

Just curious, do you listen to music on a console that plays 8 tracks, cassettes, and LPs? Not being a wise ass just wondered if you also value music listening in a similar manner.

Having had worked for UPS for a bit, 9 times out of 10 it's the shipper or receiver that's done something wrong.
If Sony requires a signature, it's not FedEx's fault they didn't leave just leave it. And no, they're not just going to walk into your house if the door is open unless they feel like getting shot. They likely knocked and nobody answered...they leave a note. And no, they're not going to just stop they're route and turn around to get back to you. Drivers have full scheduled days where literally minutes count. No you can't just go get it yourself. Why? b/c your package is likely sitting with 100 others packages on a truck amongst a fleet of other trucks and likely is still running it's route until the day is done when the drivers and ppl that coordinate those drivers are going home for the day. Well actually you could go get it yourself, but you're going to have to wait for them to get the package off the truck and hold it at their pick-up area which you'll likely be waiting just as long as if they just redelivered it, if not longer... The fastest way you'll get your package is just wait for the next business day, and they'll try to deliver it again. If your not going to be there, it's the shipper that would have to allow it to be left w/o signature and good luck getting Sony to do that for you... I understand things like this are frustrating, but there is little to be done about it and you will have the same problems with any other shipping service. UPS? Same. DHL? Same. USPS. Bwahahahaha!!! |

Also never assume a carrier has your package until you actually see it moving on the tracking screen from one destination to another, Shippers print these labels after a pickup has been made, then the info goes electronically to the carrier, then it sits there until the next pickup...

Like it or not they can either put the package in the main mailbox, or the large-package box. I NEVER have to deal with those sender-side "gotta have a signature" deals with them. And in those cases when I'm doing the sending, other than waiting in that one line (because of the old lazy guy), it's easy and it's a HELL OF LOT MORE cost-effective. So LOL all you want. get mad that they get mailboxes and y'all don't, blame the senders and/or the world's lawyers; either way you folks need to be concerned IMO. I've been bitten twice by the 3rd-party deal, and it's certainly a black eye for FedEx. if they don't think so, the USPS folks are sending a "Bwahahahaha!!!" right back your way. At least the weak link in the USPS program is a USPS employee, I'm not sure anybody at FedEx knows who the **** is delivering their stuff these days. So, friend, know this - don't rest on your laurels and think USPS is as bad as you'd like to think they are. At least not in the non-overnight package delivery business (and I rarely need anything THAT fast)... In that area, to me, they're just as good as you. It would be funny if the general public saw the inner workings of UPS, Fed-Ex, or the USPS. Nobody would want to ship anything ever again.

And to compare, last time something was shipped to me DHL (USB cables!!!), they covered their ass by simply entering a date three weeks down the road (from the date it was "picked up by shipping partner"), so it made it I guess!! I was like, "da ****???" Anyway, I'd say 80-90% of what I buy on eBay these days is USPS, and so far I've not needed to file a claim. I guess I'd prolly not, I'd just deal with the seller and let them do it. Every time I've ever had something say "delivered" is was in my mailbox. Unlike the chance of stuff getting stolen off the front porch (or dropped in a dumpster like the 3rd party folks do). Again, please don't take offense, I'm just saying in the package delivery area, the LOLing at them might be a bit over the top... |
