Just wondering who here has meet someone on-line or has friends/family that have. I'm not talking about the one night stand shit, but serious relationship stuff.


Anyway just was kind of curious about it, so lets hear the horror stories.

Well I'm hoping there is no luck involved.

I met this one awhile back, she came to visit for a week then went home.
But if all goes to plan she is moving up here in about 2-3 weeks.

I was on OK Cupid for a short time. It was there that I found one girl that I pretty much figured was out of my league. We started talking music-- old blues and reggae, mostly-- and she was hooked. We went on a couple dates over three months. She blew me off three times. Near the end, I did something I've never done before: I told her she's going to meet with me, or I wasn't giving her the time of day. Apparently that did something, as we ended up hooking up that night, and we haven't been apart since. Getting married in May 2012, three and a half years into our relationship.

Internet dating is a false stigma. Those who would deny it to force themselves to luck into some ideal partnership found at a bar are only cheating themselves. I have no idea why there is ANY reluctance. The fiance and I basically got to screen each other for two months before meeting for a date. We quickly realized compatibility (she was probably the third person I'd dated since being online), and really hashed out philosophies and approaches in life, and realized our compatibility. I wouldn't trade her for anyone. Except maybe Scarlett Johannsenn. But she's got Ryan Reynolds. **** that guy

Normally, I'd tell you to shut the f*** up and stop being such a goddamn chauvinist. But in this case, you're right. She's told me numerous times over our relationship how my ultimatum had been incredibly sexy, and sealed the deal for her.

But, I will tell you, there's a gigantic difference between telling a girl you suspect likes you to buck up... and telling some random girl that "I'm going to **** you, and that's that". Just a little wisdom.

I think you can get to know somebody on a way more personal level, but that may just be my anti-social personality.

If I ever did start dating again, that's how I'd do it.
