Quick Thoughts of Loss to Steelers

1. Ever since the schedule was released I always considered this a Chiefs loss. Pittsburg is a difficult place to play, especially if they are somewhat healthy.

2. Always take the points. I loved the fake field goal, but had the Chiefs kicked a FG before the end of the half we would have been 8 yards away from a tied game.

3. The lack of an actual passing attack makes the Chiefs easy to defend. People figured us out mid-season, which is why we struggled in the second half of the season.

4. Left guard may be the biggest position of need in the off season. Yikes it’s bad.

5. Besides our offense output, the reason why we are on the outside looking in as far as the playoffs go is because our defense does not force turnovers. We averaged over two turnovers per game in 2014, this year its less than one. Our inability to force turnovers just kills us.

6. I’m actually impressed with our defense against the pass. Big Ben was 18 of 25 for 220 yards and one TD. Bell had 20 carries for 63 yards and a TD. If you would have shown me those stats before the game I think we would all say it’s a Chiefs victory.

7. I don’t want the Chiefs to make the playoffs. Let’s face it, it’s not like we are a team that can get hot and make a run in the playoffs. At this point I’d rather have a higher draft pick.

8. Speaking of the draft, biggest need is a left guard, not a safety, not a OLB, and not a CB. We need to come away from the first two rounds with a playmaker at WR and a legit guard.

9. As frustrating as it is that Ford doesn’t play much, he does find a way to flash when he does play. That gives me hope for next season when he is a starter.

10. I swear the refs have it out for the Chiefs. I know every fan says this about their team but how many BS calls do we have to endure?

I'd rather that than continually watching this team punt on a make able third down.
42% on 3rd down certainly isn't great, but it's not awful either.

Yes, there are more problems. How about this one? Alex is a big pussy in the Red zone. He doesn't like throwing into the endzone. He likes to throw it in front of the endzone and let someone run it in. That's why we have so few passing TD's overall and none to our WR's. One of whom led the AFC in TD's not THAT long ago.

You can try as hard as you want to make this about me defending Alex Smith, but all I'm doing is being aware of the other issues. I don't really understand the reaction at all. I just don't feel like being the 1,056th person making the exact same complaints about the exact same player. I mean you're basically calling me out for not blaming the loss entirely 100% on one player. I don't do that.

I recall twice today Bowe was open for 6, Alex goes the other direction on a check down!

He never saw him at all, he never looked at him!

But he is not the BIG issue here! If AS is your QB, you have to have 5 perennial offensive linemen to block for him.

Reid's Oline coaches need replacing. If there are new coaching staffs for the Jets and Niners, Oline coach Mike Devlin and his assistant Ron Heller (Jets) or Oline coach Mike Solari and his assistant Reggie Davis (Niners) are possible replacements.

Getting younger and less experienced will not make the Oline better IMO. The Chiefs need a competent veteran Olineman to show the young Olinemen some focus, hard work and attention to detail. I think Richie Incognito could make a difference playing left guard and providing veteran leadership. I'll duck and cover now.

Alex Smith missed 2 open WR for touchdowns
Bowe dropped another
Charles fumbled one away and generally played pretty shitty

that's a 24 point swing?

Hold up now, I've backed your right to disagree and be an Alex Smith fan since you arrived... but dont slam anyone here for today, we have EVERY right to feel let down.

And expecting us to lose, doesnt make it any easier to see when you consider that we had every right to win this game... and choked it away again in yet more creative and unusual ways, and yes, Alex played a large part in it.

wa wa wa, crying bitches.

What did you all expect after:

Dorsey let 3 of our best oline go in the offseason and replaced with garbage.
There was a bumper crop of talented wr's in last years draft but Dorsey looked at it and said no thanks, were set with Bowe and Avery? WTF was he thinking?

Charles has to run into a brick wall every week and Alex has like 2 seconds to make all of his reads before he has to start running for his life. You cannot win in the NFL if you cannot control the line of scrimmage, period. Blame Alex all you want (and I do for missing wide open deep balls, which cost us dearly) but until the oline gets fixed this team will struggle.

LOL, Hunt knows nobody's in a position to do shit about him, or his family. The NFL is stuck with a team that the rest won't ever have to worry about when it comes to playing to get int he SB, or in the SB.

The Hunts are so upset about this loss they all prolly went to the local ATM and withdrew a million from their NFL account and are crying in a crystal glass of their $1000 bottle of wine with a side of fresh-this-morning Russian caviar.

Or what? Think Reid is going bench him? I doubt it; after the game he no-hands sucked Alex's dick (as usual). And Dorsey won't make him, and Hunt won't make Dorsey make him.... And the waterboy prolly isn't getting listened to either!
