in return since 2009 here is what Pioli has given us at safety in 4 years.....

Mike Brown
Dajuan Morgan
Ricky Price
Jon McGraw
Reshard Langford
Sabby Piscitelli
Kendrick Lewis
Eric Berry
Donald Washington
Kyle McCarthy
Travis Daniels
Abram Elam

besides Eric Berry and even he is inconsistent, Bernard Pollard is 10x better than that entire list. And it's not even ****ing CLOSE.

That's Scott Pioli. 4 years, garbage talent.
He wasn't better than McGraw. And posting that list is pointless. You could do that with literally any team. Name a team with great safety depth.

uhhhhhhhh

most good teams already have good safety play. we dont. that's the point. 4 years of trotting out a bunch of awful garbage at safety. Mike ****ing Brown, McGraw, Sabby, Travis Daniels, Abe Elam, injury prone Kendrick Lewis, etc

all awful

The other day, as I was thinking about some of the rather strange decisions that have been made over the past 3 or 4 years, it finally dawned on me that, when he arrived, Pioli must have believed that our entire roster was crap ... complete crap from top to bottom.

I don't think he took the time to evaluate anyone on the team ... and didn't care to.

Was it not? Other than a few players (who are still here)... this team was shit. We had one of the worst rosters in the league in 2008.

Hmmm ... not necessarily. What we had were some bad players and some good players and some excellent players ... all of whom were soft and out-of-shape.

See that roster I posted. Which player on that roster would you like to have that's not here anymore?

That's just an embarrassing roster. There's at least 10 players on there that aren't even in the league anymore.

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

so Pollard's opinion is valid. You want to cut an average player like Pollard that's fine, but you damn well better live up to your reputation as this talented evaluator genius GM and replace Pollard with someone better.

Which in 4 years Pioli has failed to do, and our safety position is worse than ever. That's what Pollard is right about. Pioli doesnt care, doesnt want to win, doesnt want to field actual NFL talent.

Pollard isnt good. But he is certainly an NFL talent.

Berry and Lewis aren't better than Pollard?

No, Pollard is the perfect example of a role player you keep on your team and eventually draft him to the bench.

He's a player with limitations and strengths and you roll with that until the better guy pushes him down the depth chart.

That said, you KEEP HIM as solid depth...

Everybody ****ing celebrated when he was cut. But now you wish Pioli would have kept him longer?

Horrible in coverage but solid tackler. Great special teams player.

We say we have all these great special teams guys now but our Kr/Pr blocking and defense sucks. Bad. It's horrid.

No he's not. Did you miss all the times Clay gif'd him up? He whiffed more than any other player on the team.

And we're 6th in kick off returns and 5th in punt returns.
