You cannot have 0 pass rush coming from a DE spot in the 4-3. Nor can you have a guy 270 lbs in coverage like Houston. Houston has to play DE in the 4-3. Period.

I see no place for him here in a 4-3. In a 3-4 he could be a backup, but too expensive for that. Bye.

Feel free to destroy it....but what about a defensive line like this?
Poe - Powe - Dorsey - Hali |

Might well be able to renegotiate that contract with Jackson and keep him.

So could somebody please assure me that this switch doesn't mean we'll waste the #1 overall pick on somebody for the 4-3?
We're taking Geno, right? We're taking a QB? Please say yes. |

I would HATE this ugh.
I don't mind the move to the 4-3, in fact I welcome it. But hiring a 73 year old man who has run the Cover 2 predominantly? I see people talking about a Seattle blueprint, but do you guys really expect a 73 year old to adapt and change the core principles of his defense? Hope I'm wrong. |

In reality Poe may be a perfect fit for the SDE spot.
RUSH who do you think taught Carroll the 4-3 under... It was that old geezer Kiffin. He was the master of the under before he developed the Tampa 2. |

Looking for a guy that can eat space and split double teams. Basically a better version of Tyson Jackson...

Houston and Hali both at DEs isn't an option. They'll get eaten alive against the run.

If that's the case, he changed his core principles a few years ago already. |
