Cavs vs. Spurs

I'm sooooo glad the Cavs are in it, or I wouldn't be watching. Well...I love the NBA, so I'd still watch but not as closely as I would if the Pistons made it.

Should be a good series. Regardless of what people are saying, the Cavs have a shot, especially with the 2-3-2 format.

Can't wait!

No offense to you being a Spurs fan but every final they've been in has been extremely boring and involved ridiculously low scores....

Its as much Cleveland's fault as San Antonio's. Look at Cleveland's series with New Jersey and Detroit (except game 5), both of those were just as terrible .

So if the Chiefs won the Super Bowl 13-10, would it mean any less to you??

If the Royals swept the World Series by an average win of 3-2, would it make their accomplishment any less significant??

The Spurs are the best the NBA has to offer and nobody can take that away from them.

That's a shitty comparison because I don't like the Spurs so I prefer to not watch them play.......I'm not a fan of them and don't find them fun to watch, there's nothing about them that makes me care to watch them and I'm an NBA fan.

Cleveland is basically a 1 man team and the east is totally awful in general. All you need to know about Cleveland is when LeBron didn't get the call of Bowen grabbing him at the end of the game and the coach didn't say anything.......that's all you need to know.

He should have exploded defending his player in the press conference like any good coach would but he showed he was spineless nothing more.

Also I'm not a Royals fan I just follow them because I live here......and baseball is such a stat game and the Royals are so bad you can do that.

I just dont see how someone could call themselves an NBA fan and not respect what the Spurs have accomplished??

This is an organization that should be put on a pedestal similiar to the Patriots in the NFL.

I don't like the Pats either.......I didn't say I didn't respect them I just said I found them boring......Even the Pats have some personality to them some swagger.....

The only things that come to mind when I think of the Spurs on personality aspects is Tim Duncan has nothing to say and Bruce Bowen is an asshole but for some reason people think that means he's a great defender.

Dude, I've never seen the guy play and I never want to.

If he'd come up through the college system I'd be interested, but as it is, I hope he never becomes the player he could have been.

Explain to me why he needed to go.......he was the #1 pick he couldn't better himself, he had no reason to go. When you can not improve your stock at all there is 0 reason.

Had the Pistons made the Finals, there would still be a basketball season.

I think people need to stop looking at the ratings. Yeah, people aren't watching the NBA right now. It's partly because of the how they are portrayed as a "thugs league" and the fact that there are a ton of foriegn people that nobody cares about.

Ever since the Pistons and the Spurs started to reign by playing great fundamental and team basketball the ratings have plunged. Ratings have also gone down after Jordon, but Kobe and Shaq in LA help keep them a float for a while. I can't really pinpoint why the ratings are so bad, but I can tell you this, the public still cares about he NBA. NBA players are still household names. You know who Kobe, LeBron, Steve Nash, Shaq, all those guys are. The NBA's name is out there, it's just that nobody's watching.

Until a dominate team from one of the major markets (Chicago, LA, NY, Boston) reigns supreme, ratings will probably continue to be low.

It is also completely overlooked that most of the games, including the finals are on cable now.

How the hell would he be better if he had played college ball? In his rookie season he was one of the better players in the league and since then among the elite players. This highly irrational take is based off never watching him play a single game?

Don't forget the NBA totally fucked up by waiting so long to start the finals, and on top of that started the games late in the hopes of getting a west coast audience- like they give a f@ck about SA and CLE...

too many days off from the conf. championships and the finals really were stupid, and so is catering to both coasts.
