Of course the game will be better on PC. Assuming that you have a good rig.

Well, I'm actually off to play Fable 2 for the rest of the night. Adios.

My range of emotions while I'm playing this game:
PC for me. Running at a smooth 60 frames per second with all settings maxed, kicked back in my chair using a 360 controller. |

Sweet Jesus.
Even after having to turn of AA because there's a weird mosaic effect on people's faces when it's on (a similar thing happened with the Witcher, but that time it was anisotropic filtering instead; bizarre), I'm so glad I bought this off of Steam. I actually felt kind of sad when I got pulled away from the tutorial vignettes, and after I left the vault and killed a few raiders in an abandoned school, nightfall came. It wasn't as pants-wetting as S.T.A.L.K.E.R., or anything, but I was still incredibly relieved when I found Megaton's front gate. I'm so, so tired right now, but I have the strongest urge to turn this back on.

Here is a tip (no spoilers):
Do NOT fly through the main story.

Is this thing an RPG or a shooter. I have heard RPG but it sure looks like standard shooter.

It does look like a shooter but it is definitely an RPG. You don't run around shooting and blowing shit up like you would in a FPS (although you do have the choice).

Maybe I can land it at the library for a 2 week free trial. If the machine works that is.

I don't want to get too caught up in mechanics of a game. Just let me shoot stuff. heh
