A lot of those guys have definitely accepted their fate. Sure they have some true fans that think they're fine, but most realize that as long as Patrick Mahomes is the QB in KC their chances are slim.

Should check out the patriots fans forums. They are salty as shit about the chiefs. How "mahomes gets all the calls", and their superbowl thread was a giant conspiracy about how the refs are in on them being the new dynasty.

I would say that they are the worst. They never had issues with the refs when all the calls went their way. Now that they don't, they feel the game is rigged in favor of KC. They piss and moan about the hold in the SB, but I would bet money right now they had zero issues with Chris Jones' RTP for hitting Brady in the shoulder pads, or the offsides on Ford that was called after Brady's INT.

Pretty sure they had zero issues with the refs affecting a game like that when they made "the right call". Now that it's KC they hate seeing a ref affect the outcome of a game.

Nobody ever benefited more from the refs than the Patriots, starting with Brady's fumble in the snow that led to their first ring.

We have won it 2x in Pat’s 5 seasons so why would any franchise feel “hopeless”? He’s not going to win it more years than he will, in all likelihood

It's truly mindnumbing how many people over at their board still think Allen is a better QB than Mahomes and the only reason he hasn't had the same success is due to coaching and poor roster players around him.
Nevermind the fact that the Bills defense has, statistically speaking, been superior to that of the Chiefs all these years.

Allen is not and will never be equal to or better than Mahomes because he lacks fundamental traits that Mahomes has:

1) Elite IQ
2) Elite arm talent (throwing with touch, off platform, from every possible angle)
3) Killer instinct (while Allen has shown at times that he can go cold blooded on teams, he hasn't managed to close the deal when it really counts... in the Playoffs)

Allen is very robotic in his approach. Lacks the intelligence to dissect formations pre-snap.

There is the Mahomes tier and further down the barrel there are the lesser tiers.

It's early enough in Allen's career that they can still hold on to hope. He's a very talented guy. AFC is loaded with very talented QB's. We will see how it shakes out for these teams over the next 10 years.

Allen's great. Not a terrible thing to have the second coming of Favre. Hell many commentators said that's what Reid was hoping for when he drafted Mahomes and even CHIEFS fans were saying this was Mahomes ceiling after his start last year.

This image was posted on the Bills subreddit as a GOOD thing, with their fans arguing it meant Allen didn't regress this year. This seemed to miss the subtext that Allen might always be a turnover machine. Favre proved you could still get a title and always be in the mix despite that, but you need tight coaching to get over the top. I'm not convinced the Bills currently have that after Daboll left last year.

Buffalo had a lot of bad luck with injuries in 2022. That's where they can have optimism for the future. Stay healthier and be a stronger team in the future. It's all a crapshoot with the injury stuff every year.

They're currently 18 million over the cap, so they have some decisions to make. Brent Varch has us spoiled with his handling of the cap and roster building. It remains to be seen if the bills can keep things together to stay competitive with the Chiefs

The Bills losing Von was huge and exposed the weaknesses throughout that defense. I rewatched the highlights of our loss to them this year. They were a completely different team. I think we would have matched up with a healthy Bills team with how much our rookies jumped from Week 6 to the playoffs, but the Bills being able to get pressure with 4 down lineman hid a lot of their issues in their secondary and made it a tall task to get in a shootout with them. Von's pressure was the most fazed I've seen Mahomes the entire season. He was constantly uncomfortable, even when Von wasn't generating any heat. They now have to hope that a (36?) year old can come back from an ACL tear as dominant as he was, because that contract (6/130) quickly becomes a major albatross if he doesn't.

Diggs removed all Buffalo related images from his instagram. We were able to reload after trading Tyreek. The Bills might be wise to follow suit, but it's much easier said than done to pull off what we did. Especially as their forum has brought up major red flags about their GM's drafting record (saw a comment that said they have been clowned by Veach in the draft two consecutive years -- I'd argue in 2017, too, but that's another topic). Coaching is also a major issue. The Bills offense didn't seem prepared at all for the Bengals defense OR for the weather and their style had been getting honed in on by multiple defenses to end the year. Coaching miscues by McDermott were also major factors in both of our wins against Buffalo in the playoffs.

At the end of the day I think that the Bills can win a SB with Allen, but only if he's healthy and hits one of his hot streaks at the right time. At this point in his career he's taken an insane amount of unnecessary brutality where even his GM made a plea for him to play smarter at the end of this season. Allen still has a lot of talent around him, but it's important to recognize that the Bills put all of their chips on the table to win this year. Now that it's over, they have question marks in both their coaching and front office that we've never had in the Reid era (even if I was too much of an idiot to appreciate that until 2017).

I don't think anybody really believes that. They're merely backed into a corner and are trying to protect their quarterback while they hope for a miracle year from him.
