I Understand why some people find it slow. Its a complex, methodical, police procedural. But damn, if i didnt find it completely fascinating. Plus, Fincher is brilliant with the camera and setting a mood.

I live within walking distance of a Blockbuster and I'm also an online member. I usually see all the new major releases within a week or two of their DVD release. This is my choices as best DVD's I've seen this year in the order of preference.
Zodiac The Departed Perfume, the Story of a Murderer Apocalypto Blood Diamond The Prestige Little Miss Sunshine Hot Fuzz Little Children Casino Royale The Illusionist Flags of our Fathers Breach Disturbia Pan's Labyrinth The Descent Hannibal Rising Deja Vu The Queen Bobby Babel Superman Returns Rocky Balboa The Devil Wears Prada The Guardian Hollywoodland Premonition World Trade Center Shooter Notes on a Scandal The Good Shepherd Children of Men Invincible Smokin' Aces Talladega Nights Snakes on a Plane The Good German The Night Listener Miami Vice I still have to watch "300", and after tomorrow's releases I'm looking forward to "Fracture" and "The Lookout". DVD releases this year I regret watching and do not rate are: Number 23, Dead Silence, Messengers, Saw III, Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning, The Black Dahlia, The Wicker Man and Lady in the Water. |

Fracture was OK, but I figured it out 20 minutes into the movie so it was kind of lame. For as much rep as 300 got I thought it was pretty lame as well. |
