WR Chris Henry. Former Bengal, current free agent.

25 years old. 6'4" with good speed. Productive third WR behind CJ and Hoosyourmama.

Just got off house arrest and is allowed to start visiting with teams. No one rumored to be interested in him.

First of all, **** you, asshole. I think he'd fit here. Yeah that's right, **** off.

We're approaching a meaningless year anyway, he'll sign for dirt cheap, and considering that he just got kicked out of the league for a while, he'll be on his best behavior, whatever that is.

Guy screws up and we lose him, we lose nothing.

So **** you all, I'm intrigued.

I don't know why any team would sign a player who's likely to serve a year suspension. Especially when that player can't seem to go 6 months without punching someone or buying booze for teenage girls or ________________.

basically what i was saying is that Henry and Rison are alike because Henry has great talent, much like Andre Rison, but they both have had character issues. "bad moon" wasnt exactly the type of player you want on a team either. If Henry stays clean for a couple years i can bet he puts up some numbers much like Rison did, maybe in the Jail as well....fact is they have both been arrested numerous times, Henry just hasnt had the time in the league yet to put up his stats.

and too answer your first question Rison WAS suspended for 4 games in 2001 because of violating the league substance abuse rules numbers of times

I always love to see an old thread like this, to see what people used to say, an occasional Planet History/Gut Check.

Based on where he was at the time, i still wouldnt want him here... but my general tone sounds slightly over the top. I'm sure there was more to him than being a 'thug life POS'.

There was a great interview online the other day, his old school chum talking about the guy he knew, life is rarely as simple as a '***********' statement.

It sounds like he was really reaching out & trying this time.
