I'm pondering the idea of starting a league just like the one Guru has. (http://chiefsplanet.com/BB/showthread.php?t=146409) If you are interested in joining please post your fantasy football resume along with a brief description as to why you would be good for the league.

That sounds good.

I want to bring something up. Last year, in my 07 league, the playoffs were the last four weeks of the season. During that time, many NFL teams rest their starters. This can cripple an owner who might have been dominating his league. A friend of mine said he was in a league where there were no playoffs. The team with the best record won. If two teams were tied, the winner was decided by whoever had the higher cumulative points for that season. Thoughts?

It's a dynasty league. You keep your team. Please see the rules attached in post #19

Question: Shouldn't it be a serpentine for the first year? The rules make sense for an established league, but I think the draft needs to be thought out a bit for year one.

Also, I'm not super clear on the contract status. Do you only have a players rights for a set number of years after you have drafted them. Just trying to get up to speed. I think this is going to be a lot of fun.

Good point on the serpentine draft for year one. We will take a league vote on that as soon as we have every team accounted for.
Yes after the draft you are responsible for signing your players to a contract. As I interpret it you have a cap of 40 years for your entire team. Contracts may be restructured throughout the length of the contract. (Example: I draft Adrian Peterson and sign him to a 6 year deal. 3 years into it I restructure for an additional 3 years. As long as my cap years are 40 or less no problem).

Agree on the serpentine draft in Year 1.
