Meh....strikes me as a Jeff Fisher type. He will put together a decent team every 3 or 4 years or so.

You don't like Fox, that's fine. I like that he's a defensive focused HC... he's had success. I mentioned that he's average, but he is 5-3 in the playoffs and the upside is good, IMO.

I guess my main issue here is that I think it'll be kind of hard to hate Fox. I mean, he's a pretty likable guy, regardless of his coaching prowess.

I think this is a good hire for Denver.

It's safe, which Elway needs. I wonder if John is going to keep the coaches office or give it to Fox

I'm interested to see what the coaching staff looks like and if they are actually going to trade a few guys (rumors have been Orton, DJ Williams, maybe Royal) for extra picks. If they did trade those guys, they could pick up 3-4 extra picks in Rounds 2-4, and they'll need all they can get.

Then, it's up to Ellis, Elway, Xanders and team to not screw up the draft.

If I were a Broncos fan, I wouldn't throw myself off of a bridge (like I considered when Herm was hired) but I would be very underwhelmed.

Considering that this is considered a weak draft, I'm hoping this happens.

If only there was a coordinator that could coach up your defense, and make an under-performing defense respectable.

The issue I would have with Fox had the Chiefs hired him is that he has had only three good seasons out of nine, and he has never followed up one winning season with another. This to me points to an issue with building and coaching a consistent winner...

I guess it depends on what you need... I'm quite certain there are a number of guys in those middle rounds that can help in the short and long-term.

It would be great if Fox finished what McDaniels started - trading ALL of Denver's good players.

By the way, Orton, Williams and Royal are not worth a 2nd. Not even close.
