That was a squashing no doubt. MU could have squashed us even worse than that if Pinkel didn't act with class. IIRC, Snyder was trying not to score either but KU just couldn't help themselves but get scored on.

The Tigers gave up 141 total yards which is the lowest total they have ever given up in Big XII play. In the 4th quarter, MU ran the ball 15 times and passed once. The entire second half was 22 runs and 5 passes.

The recap of last year's game on espn.com is rock-chalk full of gems.
At one point, MU had 14 points, and KU had -19 yards of offense. KU scored in the second half which broke a scorinf drought of over 100 minutes. KU has lost 13 of their last 16 games. The cupcake was squashed.

I think of last year as being a down year, but it was very nearly a great season. We were ranked #6 at one point. We completely gave away games against Tech and Iowa to finish 10-3. We even made a furious comeback against NU only to give up yet another long TD run to Helu for the dagger. Hopefully Franklin is ready for prime time.

At least you know I was playing. Mizzou has had a good run on the gridiron this past few years. KU might be years away from a wining record in football and another victory against either Mizzou or K-State. Oh well. Shit happens.

It's hard to ever get a good grip on the program. That being said you're not going to find a KU fan alive who would switch football histories with the two schools you mention above. |

We got crushed in the first quarter and cut the lead to 7 in the 4th while shutting down NU's offense. Then we gave up a big play, and that was that. Granted, OU made our comeback against Nebraska look bad, as they kicked the shit out of the Huskers, but 10-4 is still a good season for Nebraska.
