I despise the Chiefs but the fans love that team and deserve to atleast try to better the team and spend the money... I can think of several good reasons KC shouldn't claim Orton and not one good reason why they should.

Dude, me sitting here calling it like I see it is not going to affect anything done on this team....

Hell you could always trade up in the draft if you want a QB but with the exception of Luck, you are probably looking for 2 years of losing before one matures enough to win...

You guys need a Vet, would not be surprised to see Jason Campbell in a Chiefs uniform next year.

Pretty much. At least you guys are trying to win and doing whatever it takes. WIll it prove to be too costly? Possibly, but then again, maybe Palmer has a bunch of gas left in the tank and it works out for you. At least you guys are trying. A ton more than I can say for this organization.

We've had 4 of the best players on this team go down for the season, and not one person has been brought in to replace them (other than jeremy f***ing horne). If Orton becomes a Chief, then this FO is simply flying by the seat of their pants at this point and has zero direction.

Orton is no worse than an average starting NFL quarterback, which makes him a hell of a lot better than Cassel.

He could step in for the remainder of the year and we could see how he works with the staff. If he's solid, we could see if he'd be interested in a 2-yr deal while we try to develop Robert Griffin (who will need a lot of seasoning).

Or we could just let him walk. It's really a zero-risk acquisition. I'd be pretty annoyed if we just ignored him.

And we certainly will.
