Alex Smith: Chief's aren't running a "Cookie-cutter" offense

Q? FO!

From NFLNetwork byline:

QB Alex Smith tells NFL Total Access that Chiefs aren't running "cookie-cutter" offense and it isn't the same as what coach Andy Reid ran with Eagles and Packers. Catch the entire interview tonight at 7PM ET on NFL Total Access.

Do you see those type of players on the CHIEFS right now, and did you see them in San Francisco last year? no, you did not, and no you don't. Alex Smith doesn't mind throwing deep. he has been throwing deep with accuracy and precision to Vernon Davis for 6 years. He has never had a problem with Connecting with Vernon. If you give him a deep threat, he will take advantage of it. No, it is not his strong suit, but he can do it. YOu are just so blinded by Alex Smith Hate, that logic eludes you. Alex has said many times, that he would rather throw short, and give his guys a chance to make plays. Which, with Crabtrees shiftiness and run after the catch ability, it makes sense. Alex Smith plays to his strengths. There is nothing wrong with knowing yourself, and doing that. I don't know why this is so difficult for you.
Man, you guys are ****ing annoying.

No. Alex Smith misses a lot of games to injury. Moreso than most QBs.

Trent Green was our QB for six years and he missed 8 games in that entire time span.

Alex Smith has missed 30 games due to injury in his career. That's the worst in the league.

How many QBs do you think would walk away from the hit Alex took from Rocky Bernard in 2007 unscathed? He came through the o-line unblocked, 300 plus pounds at full speed, airborne, came down on top of Alex. I don't think you could realistically call any QB who took that hit "injury prone." (Of course, there's no way verify that. Just my opinion. But it was a monster hit.)

I don't really care about the specifics. Alex Smith has a documented history of missing a lot of games due to injury.

Until I see him started 16 full games for the Chiefs I won't back off this criticism.

Something like 25 or 26 of those were 2007 and 2008 with the separated shoulder.

Injury prone in SF. Who cares? He has a different line and a running game now. Hopefully both will be productive enough to allow him to be productive.

Not really. 2007 and 2008 are an aberration. Other than the shoulder injury, he is pretty average.

How convenient of you to leave out Trent Green's 1999 season in which he missed the entire season of 16 games and the playoffs (which accounted for three more).

Without that missed season and Kurt Warner's subsequent performance, Green would not have been available, as he signed a four year deal in 1999.

So by my count, Green missed 27 games in his career in St. Louis and KC.

Your cherry-picking has reached new heights and the False Narrative lives on.
