Planetside 2 - (PC) Free to Play MASSIVE Multiplayer Shooter - Beginners Guide
Repost Police suck my dick
Planetside is a REALLY addictive first person shooter..... on PC only right now MAYBE coming to SOny Playstaion eventually... The battles are massive.....hundreds of people on the same battlefield. Combined arms, infantry, tanks, air, transport/supply vehicles. Check this game out...lots of roles , not just grunt/infantry....You can really play engineers or medic or troop transport etc...squad leader.....pilot....gunner...bomber.....etc etc.... If you play on server "connery" as the NC (new conglomerate) I would be glad to squad up with you and show you a little of what I know. Its kind of a steep learning curve.....but it is REALLY fun once you learn to move around and find the "front lines" of the war and get into a squad.... 1) https://www.planetside2.com/ 2) make a character on server Connery , New conglomerate (blue team) 3) check it out a little bit , go to the "VR" virtual reality center and try out all weapons and vehicles 4) try 'instant action' and try joining a few different squads 5) post any questions or PM me if you wanna **** around and kill some shit *If you hate the NC for some reason, I do have characters in the other factions (vanu & Terran) so I can hook up with you in those as well, theyre just not as advanced...I prefer NC but can play any of them as long as its Connery server. Check it out FREE! Guides & Tips ----------------------- 1) How to find a good battle (planetside is a big BIG world) . Last edited by Ming the Merciless; 07-28-2013 at 10:25 AM.. |

I'm not much on real military shooters, despise them actually. Hopefully this has enough futuristic weaponry etc to keep me interested.

I just played for like 3 hours it was awesome, we had a crew of 48 plus start from our own corner and we basically took over the entire map. It was cool seeing it almost all blue.
I need a break for a couple hours to rest my eyes though. |

Its worth 50 points, IMO.....It was the 1st thing I did with my new charatcer 1) because it REALLY helps battles 2) it is decent XP if u deploy it in a good spot (3-5 xp per spawn plus bonuses) 3) its cool cuz people can still ride in it 4) u can press F2 while driving to mount the front gun or F3 to mount the rear gun 5) u can change gear if u upgrade it, like into a max or get more ammo 6) its a pimp van I'm almost done with work, I'm back in my office. I'll probably play for a bit...I am TOTALLY stoked you got in and had fun man.....You played at a great time it sounds like. I still have fun when NC doesnt have the numbers and/or cant make progress etc...But its much funner rolling and capping bases. I'm so happy you enjoyed it! And its ****ing free!

if u needed new ram too, it might add 60-120 (8-16 GB) If you want some suggestions, I'd be happy to throw out my ideas as I am sure the other gents would too. You could solve all of your gaming problems most likely if you dropped 300-400 and re-cycled your case, power supply, ram,Hard Drive, keyboard, mouse, dvd drive. I'd be happy to help in any way possible.

it really isnt hard, its a little step up from ram only because you actually need a screwdriver but there are only a few screws to deal with and also u probably want to format // wipe your Hard drive and start totally fresh install of windows

So I snuck past the frontline of the Red team and got a few territories in, where there were no enemies at all and I was the only player and my FPS on low settings went up to like 90, so I put it on high and it ran at 60 fps and it was beautiful, unfortunately you're usually always surrounded by people.

dont get anything under a 660,. the 650 and lower (even though they are same gen) use the 5 series tech, get a 760. Best bang for the buck right now.
Btw in the warp zone I see around 90s FPS and thats with my 6 core (+6HT) oced to 4.6 ghz (unparked of course) .. so yea, I would say it has some direct correlation to CPU since my OCed GTX 670 is only about 12-15% faster than Bucks 660, but I am doubling him up in FPS. Obviously there are other factors at play, but hell CRANK UP THOSE CPUS!! I have had mine stable with all cores at 5.0 GHZ before but it gets a little hot for my liking so I turned it back a notch. edit; if we are buying new shit, a z77 boaard with an I5 2500k will get you the best bang for the buck and near my performance at a lot lower cost. Well.. only go with the if sandy bridge if you are budgeting. If you want to future proof I would wait for the next round of CPUS to come out (very soon) and that will drop all of the ivy bridge (3770k etc) processors in price, because they are going to launch not only Ivy bridge-e for x79 but the newest CPUs are gonna dominate hard, which is going to cause these lower (lol) cpus to greatly drop in price. Check out the Asrock motherboards, feature filled and right priced. My ASrock extreme6/gb out performed even the ASUS ROG in many tests, and cost me about half as much. And obviously, it can hold up to a 5.0 OC on a 3.2 i7 SB-E processor too, so that shows you the power they have. Pair your chose mobo with a 3770k Ivy (would have to be a z77 chipset) or go x79 and buy a placeholder SB-E quad core, and wait for the new IVY-E procssors and then sell out of it and buya 6 core ivy-e. Shit you got me goin~ |
