Things to consider upon last night's ending

Alright, that sh*t last night hurt. Bad. Five turnovers, often terrible play calls, and inability to execute left us all feeling like dogsh*t. But hear me out on a few takeaways here.

1. This ain't over between KC and Denver. With these two defenses playing top 5 level football right now, this has all the makings of a rivalry like the one Seattle and San Fran had a couple years ago. It even started getting a little chippy several times for once.

2. Sean Smith. This is good and bad, because it basically means we aren't in good position to watch him walk in FA next year, but the bottom line is he will be back. Marcus Peters looks like a #1 corner already through TWO games. Get Smith back, plug Gaines into the slot and all of the sudden a defense that already looks really solid becomes even better. It's what we need to close the gap.

3. Next time we play Denver, we are coming off of a bye. You can bet after this game KC is gonna come into their place wanting that one, and with Reid's track record with bye week's, I don't think we can feel beat already with that one whatsoever. Maybe by then Fisher will have his ass in gear and be able to block Von Miller just a tad, unlike Jah (who gave his best efforts)

In closing again I will say, last night sucked. It gets old with the way this team seems to get your hopes up just to pull the rug out at the end, no doubt. But greater teams have lost in bad ways before. (NE @ Arrowhead 2014....) I'm just saying. One game doesn't make or break a season no matter how bad we wanted to beat Denver or the fact that we should have. We were -4 in the turnover margin and still had a great shot at a win. That's a sign of a really, really good team.

Patrick Allen said it best:

It ain't over guys. Walk away from the ledge because whether you're down right now or not, if I had told you we would be -4 in turnovers there's not a person in the country who would have thought it to be this close. Denver is very good, particularly on defense, and these two are top 5 teams in the AFC. DON'T GIVE UP NOW, SEAN IS COMING!

That was the one thing that stood out to me - Fivehead apparently got on the phone with the drunk Elway and told him to get Kubiack off his ass. Next series, the old Fivehead returned and did his own thing.

Must be great to be the HC in Denver. Sit down, shut up and cash your checks.

The Chiefs played arguably the worst game of this regime's tenure last night and still only lost by 7 points in the last 40 seconds.

People can point to the Indianapolis playoff game, and that may be, but this one might have been worse.

-JC made some of the biggest mistakes with the fumbles and that's not like him
-Andy coached arguably the worst game since coming here
-Sutton coached arguably the worst game since coming here
-Toub easily coached his worst game since coming here.
-We turned the ball over FIVE times.

The Chiefs can hang with the Broncos. But my god did they kill themselves last night.

November 15th will be very interesting. Bye week to prepare and think about this game. We get Sean Smith back. You can bet that game is circled.
We were a couple yards from OT in Denver last year. Chiefs don't kill themselves then they can win.

Difference is, Jamaal contributed a TD. Alex contributed a 7.4 QBR.
Alex hit Kelce to set us up for a long drive that converted into a TD.
Flacco got his ass handed to him by this very talented denver defense. Alex put up enough (Behind a horrid line) to set us up for the win.

Btw, how do you have time all day to be posting on this site?

Also, that should be the last time they wear red on red uniforms. Three straight losses with that combination.

Did they wear them for the Pats last season?

Yes. I'm not coming up with these 3 losses in a row they've had with the all reds.

I don't think so. The Chiefs make a free agent splash every other year and we signed Maclin this year. So maybe we'll have the talk WITHOUT saying, "If the Chiefs sign this player or that one"...

All grousing aside, this is still the year. They're going to do it this year. I can feel it. They're still gelling. It happens all of the time with championship teams.
