I don't know if this makes sense to anyone, but because of the way the QB class is structured this year, if you aren't going to go all-in and push your chips up to get the very best of the class( Mahomes / Trubiski ), then it would be wise to look for the lower round prospect like Kaaya that fits the mold, and could potentially provide Russel Wilson-type value in the later rounds.

You guys are never gonna get it, are you? Drafting a Qb is just too risky. Just wait, there's bound to be a decent qb who gets released by.. say the 49ers or the Patriots, or somebody like that. We just need someone to manage the game for us and not make too many mistakes.

The only QB I'm interested in KC drafting is Mahomes.
I know he's a raw prospect, but everything he lacks is coachable and KC has a huge coaching staff that are all great teachers. I really like his playing style and I think it closely resembles Favre and he has a bit of McNabb in him, too. If KC drafts him in the first, he could sit for 1-1/2-2years and be ready to hit the ground running. |

Kizer's combine performance was lousy and the tape isn't worth a shit either. At some point you have to point to something good and I'm running out of things to look for with Kizer. The frame/stature is so appealing that you want to find a reason to go to the mattresses for him but I cannot find one. I'm running out of reasons to support the guy and he may be one of those kids that suffers a 'Bray-like' slide. Not all the way to UDFA but late 2nd, early 3rd is seeming more and more possible. So maybe a 'Clausen-like' slide. I still don't trust Watson's mechanics/accuracy. Trubisky doesn't matter; won't get that far anyway. Safest of the lot, probably gonna be a fine player. If you're extremely lucky you get Matt Ryan out of him, probably in the Andy Dalton sort of range when all is said and done. Mahomes just looks like a ****ing blast to have around. I think we'd love having him here and I think he presents the most upside. That said, I was all in on Tannehill for a lot of the same reasons and Tannehill just never came together like I thought he would. As for the rest of that lot of misfit toys, just pull names out of a hat. One of them will be good, the rest of them will be forgotten in 5 years. I damn sure don't want to spend anything higher than a 4th on any of them. Most of these '1st round quarterbacks' are already being pushed up a round based on true talent and the guys you're looking at in the 2nd and 3rd are in some cases pushed up even more than that. There are years that guys like Dobbs, Kaaya and even Webb go undrafted. The Murrays and Hogans of the world are always sitting around in the 5th; why the hell would I use a 2nd on Peterman? I've got no problem taking a flyer on one of these guys if the 1st doesn't go how I'd like; like I said, I fully expect one of them to hit. But I have no damn idea which one and using a 2nd on one is crazy talk. Comp 3rd and no higher for these fallback options.

I mean you don't want to be stuck with dreadful QB play for years but ultimately, it is all about getting a QB who will become a top 10, max top 15 QB in the NFL. |

Constantly switching between Kizer and Zaire. The North Carolina State game. Pouring ****ing rain and windy as shit. Kelly proceeds to have Kizer throw the ball 26 times and then blames him after the game for not doing more. Oh and he pulled Kizer for 3 series for Zaire....who couldn't do shit. |

The Brett Favre comparisons need to stop. There was a lot more to Favre then his physical ability.

I think 'he' proved it. His mentality, his toughness had all to do with his success.
