Well, actually Vietnam. But I'll make a stop in China.

It just seemed like the thing to do. I'm in Oakland now waiting as they load cargo. I'm the only passenger on a 1,000 foot ship for the next 19 days.

Since I'm the only passenger, I get the owner's cabin on the top deck. Here are a few pictures of my cabin area. I also have the use of a lounge on another floor, and I can share the crew's gym.

So if anybody needs me, I won't be around for the next few weeks as I sail my private 1,000 foot yacht across the Pacific.

Good time to go across the Pacific. I hope you love Filipino food or at least packed a butt-load of snacks. One thing about the middle of an ocean, the stars are unbelievable. Just laying on the deck, looking up, is a magnificent sight. Make friends with the crew and you should be okay. Just don't joke around about drugs or their women.

19 days seems like a fairly long time without tv or internet... but I guess you can just watch the ocean roll by, do some reading and working out

Dont wander to close to the edge of that thing...

It'll be my first time there and in Japan, so it'll all be fun. Angkor Wat will be the main land attraction, so that's probably the highlight. But I get a one-day stop in Petropavlovsk on the cruise ship on the way back, and I'm stoked about that. It's not that there's much to do there, but I never thought I would set foot on the Kamchatka peninsula.
