How annoyed do you get with people who have shitty taste in music? For instance, nickelback fans, or those who enjoy Toby Keith. Are they lower life forms?

As a man of refined acoustic tastes, do you have any guilty pleasures? Does SNR like to put on Twisted Sister after he's had a couple of Zimas?

Without getting too DC for the main forum, I think it's more annoying when people bitch about Trump only because they're far more numerous than people who bitched about Obama being Muslim.

Shitty tastes in music don't bother me all that much. I won't change peoples' minds with, "Oh, but you just haven't heard things like this before!" because so much of that cool stuff requires either former exposure or a bit of knowledge of music. And even then, the emotions, comfort, and pleasure people derive from shitty music isn't something that can be logically argued against-- that won't do shit.

What DOES upset me, however, are when people ask me about my tastes in music and act appalled and gorked out like I'm some kind of animal unexposed to their shit. If that's the case, then you can bet I'm going to attack them a bit more aggressively.

As far as guilty pleasures go, I do like Adele's vocal timbre and many of her songs, even though I know she's getting closer and closer to permanently destroying her vocal chords the longer her career continues.
