In the P.C building world you'd call that a bottleneck. A lot of great components, but the one not-so-great component is slowing down the machine.

The WR room was our bottleneck.

He wrote 7-9 paragraph word salads all season about how Patrick Mahomes wasn't good enough and was holding back the offense.

Absolutely, and in the medical field we would order our LEAN team to conduct a time study, and they would be like "yeah, your wide receivers ****ing blow".

Let's talk this one out. I don't think there's a person on this site, or anywhere for that matter, that doesn't agree that we need to address the WR issue. What I think is crazy is the overreaction that we somehow got lucky that the D was so dominant and saved our O. The reality is that during our 3 SB's in 5 years, the O carried this team the overwhelming majority of the time. Last year was the exception.

The Toney trade hasn't worked out as expected. The Sky Moore pick has been completely meh, and the MVS pickup was a bag of mixed reviews, but mostly disappointing. However, we also got a phenomenal WR in the 23 draft and an excellent RB in the 22 Draft that were both strategic to our last 2 SB's. This is what life looks like when you have a guy like PMII with a contract that limits what you can and can't do with the Cap. The focus in the last couple of years was placed on getting the D shored up - which they did. Now, I think it's pretty obvious we are going to focus on WR and making sure we have enough weapons to make this O plenty potent to repeat as SB Champs.

I just don't believe there is any need to overreact about personnel when we have won 3 SB's in the last 5 years, and have arguably one of THE best GM's in the league managing this roster. It seems to me that they have made the right decisions and have earned our trust to keep things moving in the right direction. That said, it's your right to question what you want and be concerned all you want. I'm just not gonna go there until I see what the final 53 looks like.

I'm sure it was allllll about that. Nowhere in those 7-9 paragraph essays did he mention how Skyy Moore was a waste of space and an all-around bad WR and definitely a part of the problem, not the solution.
