We all want to see improvement out of the WR room, I just think maybe 4 days into free agency might be a little early for hand wringing and hyperventilating.

Especially given the cost of the WR market right now.

Last years game plan was sidelined by drops and fumbles mostly. It was basically the exact same game plan they used to have the #1 offense in 2022.

The reality is that during our 3 SB's in 5 years, the O carried this team the overwhelming majority of the time. Last year was the exception.

The Toney trade hasn't worked out as expected. The Sky Moore pick has been completely meh, and the MVS pickup was a bag of mixed reviews, but mostly disappointing. However, we also got a phenomenal WR in the 23 draft and an excellent RB in the 22 Draft that were both strategic to our last 2 SB's. This is what life looks like when you have a guy like PMII with a contract that limits what you can and can't do with the Cap. The focus in the last couple of years was placed on getting the D shored up - which they did. Now, I think it's pretty obvious we are going to focus on WR and making sure we have enough weapons to make this O plenty potent to repeat as SB Champs.

I just don't believe there is any need to overreact about personnel when we have won 3 SB's in the last 5 years, and have arguably one of THE best GM's in the league managing this roster. It seems to me that they have made the right decisions and have earned our trust to keep things moving in the right direction. That said, it's your right to question what you want and be concerned all you want. I'm just not gonna go there until I see what the final 53 looks like.

No one is asking for anyone's head on a pike, or veach or Andy to be fired. I'm saying the offense far under achieved and the WR room needs gutted. And those who take issue with me stating our O got carried can take it up with Travis Kelce who repeatedly admitted this was the case.

That guy scored more TDs than all of our WRs except Rice, lol. And he wasn't even the target.
I don't think anyone is content. Some people are just freaking out more than others.

I don’t care if we’re boring. But any reasonable person knows most of our receivers were a complete liability. And nobody should sell short that veach built an otherwise brilliant roster that was able to win in spite of that. We can be successful even with bad WRs… but we shouldn’t have to and I highly doubt Reid or Veach want to.

It’s crazy for anyone to panic. Or to criticize veach. But there’s also no need to make excuses that we did not make good decisions overall with our WRs. The talent on this offense is too insanely good to believe that’s even close to the best version of our offense even in the mahomes contract era

I would say most do.

Except those who think Mecole Hardman is a "deep threat" and don't want Hollywood or Samuel, just bring back last year's crew.

I have to agree with this. I do think they will upgrade the WR room, but won't overpay to do it.

Former Commanders WR Curtis Samuel is signing a three-year, $24 million deal worth up to $30 million, including $15 million guaranteed, with the Buffalo Bills, per source.

Disappointed we haven’t improved WR yet.

Yeah I mean veach and Reid have basically admitted the mistake without having to actually say it. We shelved guys at the end of the season, designed the offense to avoid several guys, and cut guys afterwards. We just have to trust veach will get it right and they’ve more than earned that faith and patience.

Ugh.

That's a great signing.

We better have Brown and Williams ready to announce because the good guys are almost off the board.

A) Nice get for Buffalo on a good contract and a really good fit given that they have Diggs and Shakir outside.

B) That's a pretty loud demonstration that Samuel wasn't the fit here some thought he was. If he's getting $8 million on the market, he ain't a potential Z. that's pure slot receiver money.
