And goddamnit I love Charles, but JFC that screen that he dropped at the 5 yard line was HUGE. That was a TD if he catches that.

Our receivers catch the balls the balls that they should have and Alex Smith has 3 TD's, 300 passing yards and a possible win.

This game was on our receivers ****ing it all up, not Alex.
3 TDs? Where are you getting your information? The only pass that was dropped in the endzone was by Charles right before he dropped the screen. Both of those drops were big when they happened but were rendered null and void when that drive was capped by a TD to Bowe.

When Alex throws a TD it should count for 1.5 since he does it so infrequently.

On pace for 26 this year!

You are right my bad. I got the drives mixed up. The horrible Charles screen drop was null because Bowe got the TD. Thought it was on the next drive where Charles got stuffed.

Point still stands. Receivers were the biggest problem. From fumbling the ball to dropping several balls that should have been caught.

Would love to see someone have the guts to gif up the 30+ yarder on the sideline from Alex to Bowe. Another one that Bowe dropped... a 5 yard holding call was called against the defender going against Fasano.. but if Bowe catches this, we decline that hold and get the yardage. Why you no make star catches for a star receiver, Bowe?

( 8:25 left in the 2nd quarter )

Clearly if that ball is thrown any lower the defensive line would have had an easy pick 6.

Alex Smith is another manager who is so afraid of making a mistake, he will never make a play. Despite the drops, you still have to look at the fact he was well under 50% completion for the game. He also took 3 sacks. Even if he threw for 300 yards, on 45 attempts that only 6.66 yards per attempt.

If his WR's could catch or consistently get open, he would be better.

Receivers look worse than Alex. Especially DMC

Over the course of the whole season, Alex is a much bigger problem.

He is just reverting to form. He was always a shitty QB. Harbaugh hid him well in SF by limiting his attempts, though.

Accept that he must go, and soon, for us to move forward.
