Exactly. This needs to be repeated. This is exactly why nobody says much about Peyton Manning passes being dropped. Even though Manning's receivers have dropped more than Alex Smith's receivers. With good QBs, a drop is essentially inconsequential. When you have Alex Smith, one dropped pass feels like the end of the world because everyone watching knows that it likely won't be attempted again.

So then we dissect it and post gifs and argue and make excuses both ways and assign blame. Because there's so few of these passes, we think up reasoning for it like Alex not trusting the WRs, or the playcalling being overly conservative. We get to the chicken or the egg conundrum. When in reality, our WRs don't really drop it any more than any other teams. We just throw downfield so little that we place infinitely more importance on it than other fans have to.

The issue... is that instead of dealing with the actual topic, you need to assault others that are simply positive, mature people. It doesn't matter what team you are most a fan of. I have been a Cubs fan for many years, and I don't act like a whiny child because they forever suck.
