The Best Show on Television... Entourage
This show fuggin Cracks me up. Maybe Im just sheltered because I dont watch TV much, but I started watching this show midway through season one, and freaking love it. Its about this young movie star and his brother, and two friends from New York, and his rise to stardom... Tonights show was at the Sundance Festival, where Vince's latest movie Queens Boulevard was a huge success... plus Turtle and Drama double-teamed this Peace Corps Chick and accidently "crossed swords". heh. funny shit. [Sorry Gochiefs, but they didnt show that part] Freaking Ari Gold, played by Jeremy Piven is fuggin unreal in this show. He makes it. Here is some cool extra footage. Anyway, if you have HBO on Demand, check it out... its great TV. http://www.hbo.com/entourage/ Last edited by teedubya; 06-26-2009 at 05:01 PM.. |

Mark Wahlberg says 'Entourage' movie may shoot in the spring'
SERIES PRODUCER SAYS FILM WILL BE GETTING 'BACK TO BASICS The "Entourage" movie appears to be moving forward. Series producer Mark Wahlberg has revealed that creator Doug Ellin's script for the long-awaited feature is finally complete, and that they're hoping to begin production on the film early next year. “It is [finished],” Wahlberg told Hollyscoop of the screenplay. “I think we will be getting a copy tomorrow and hopefully we will be shooting in the spring.” So what can fans expect? Though plot specifics are more or less under wraps, Wahlberg stated they're hoping to create a vibe more in line with the show's early seasons. “[The movie is] going to get back to the basics, kind of like the beginning of the series,” Wahlberg continued. “We had very strong female characters, but we want the guys to get back to just being guys. ...I think they were all weighed down by these strong women towards the end of the series, so we are going to get them going crazy everyone wants to see them get nuts again."

The last three seasons were worthless. It should have ended when Ari was heading off on his jet and Vince and the boys were heading off in theirs at the end of season four(?).
Since then, it's been ****ing bogus. Spreading out shit in order to keep it going and the movie will be more of the same. Oh, and Ari took the studio head job. |

And of course Ari took the job. The drama of him choosing the job over the family is greater than him declining and missing the powertrip. |

Warner Bros Gives Green Light To Movie Version Of HBO Series ‘Entourage’
EXCLUSIVE: Aquaman star Vinnie Chase is back, baby. Warner Bros has tonight given the green light on a movie version of Entourage, the HBO series that ran from 2004-2011. That gives a reprise for the inside Hollywood exploits of the up and coming film star, his manager and agent, his under-appreciated TV actor brother and the childhood pal/driver who form his inner circle. The film will be directed by series creator Doug Ellin, who wrote the screenplay and who exec produced the series with Mark Wahlberg and Stephen Levinson. Deals are starting to be made with Adrian Grenier, who played Chase, Kevin Connolly, who played his manager Eric “E” Murphy, Kevin Dillon, who played the actor’s brother Johnny Drama, Jerry Ferrara, who played their entrepreneurial driver Turtle, and Jeremy Piven, who played the show’s iconic type A talent agent Ari Gold. That’s about as far as the studio has gotten at this point, and there is no start date. I for one loved the series ending, in which Ari finally gave up his career and pledged his devotion to his long suffering gorgeous wife (Perry Reeves), only to get a last minute phone call offering him his dream job of running a film studio, knowing he’ll lose her if he says yes. Love to see how Ari negotiates himself out of that hell. Did I mention that I watched that show from start to finish, and miss it terribly? While some naysayers might start in that an HBO transfer to film has no shot, the first Sex and the City did pretty well. For me, I can only think of one word to describe this development. Victory!!!!

I'll see it just because I liked the show a lot....regardless of how bad it turned out at the end.
And I'm sure a lot of people feel the same, which is why I think it will open up big in the demographic 18-35
