Free agent Erick Dampier visited with Miami Heat staff Wednesday at AmericanAirlines Arena, moving the veteran center one step closer to a possible agreement with the team.

According to a source familiar with the session, Dampier, who also is weighing an offer from the Houston Rockets, met with Heat President Pat Riley and others.

Dampier's agent, Dan Fegan, told a Houston television station earlier this week that the center was hopeful of reaching a decision by Thursday. Those close to Dampier believed an agreement with the Heat was possible Wednesday, with the 35-year-old in the process of setting up a South Florida condo.

I would pay 50 bucks on Pay Per View to see that. I remember back in the mid 90's when Shaq and Hakeem Olajuwan were going to have a one one match on Pay Per View but Shaq said he hurt his back and backed out.

I remember talk of an MJ vs Magic 1 on 1 game back in the day. I think 1 on 1 games would be horrible to watch, not that 5 on 5 games these days is that much prettier.
