Gotcha.

I don't have a problem with taking a CB considering where we'll be drafting. But you're right, it's not the priority gecko puts it at.

I'm not all for taking a cb that high when the past has shown it seems to be easier to did decent corners anywhere.

The front 7 or playmakers on offense. That's what we need to throw resources at.

IMO, marquise lee falling I the chiefs would be a dream scenario

Yep, so I don't see Hemingway going anywhere for a while. Plus, he has been getting some reps on the offense as well.

The Smith to Charles deep pass was a example of it. Hemingway ran a fly and shaded off the LB, who was supposed to cover Charles.

Jenkins isn't a FA until 2015 and Hemmingway is a RFA next year.

Where we draft next year, it's about BPA. And corners are something you can never have too many of. I don't want to be in a situation where we limit our board to just a few key positions. In the bottom of the first, you take all world safe players or you take a risky player who plays a high positional value position.

Would you take a look at this.

People complain when every football discussion thread gets turned into an argument about Alex Smith.

The "I was a 49er fan but now I'm a Chiefs fan because I love Alex Smith" crowd disappears for a few hours and we turn an argument about Alex Smith into a football discussion thread. Imagine that...

We are in a position now to start doing what made the steelers and pack so good for so long. Just sit where you are and take good football players that everyone else passes on for some stupid reason.

If the best player available is a corner is be open to it, but need has to factor in to bpa at some point.

If he didn't come with a HUGE contract this offseason....I'd take a look at Golden Tate.

It was great yesterday when djln, otwp, you, boss, myself and a few others were involved. It teetered a bit when clay barged in with some stupid shit and the 9er "Ben afflacks from dazed and confused" jumped in, but it's turned back now

I really should amend my previous statement.

We didn't just turn an argument about Alex Smith into a solid football discussion. We turned THE argument about Alex Smith into a solid football discussion.

And that's what the board is lacking these days, IMHO.

We need more of this kind of solid football discussion.

So the Niner trolls took the morning off, eh?

I didn't realize that, since I finally decided to bite the bullet and try out DaFace's global ignore plugin.
