No ****ing excuses for Smith, even the shittiest of QB's with the shittiest of receivers has managed to throw atleast ONE! freaking touchdown to a receiver in a full season. If nothing else was enough, that single stat is enough to make me want to puke in Smiths face, what a weird, bitch stat.
But if it's Alex Smith, why did Bowe have 5 receiving TDs last year? I think it's just a freaky coincidental stat. Not damning on anyone really. That's why I haven't brought it up against Bowe.

I just think that at this point, expecting Bowe to have 1100+ yard seasons like he did in 2010 and 2011 isn't that realistic. Unless you have Manning or something, he's not a WR that can be trusted to consistently get open enough to get those numbers. Put it like this, if I said we'd have a WR get 100 yards and a touchdown next week, who would you think that WR would be? Me, I'd bet all my money on Wilson over Bowe. That's how much Bowe has declined in my eyes.

Doesn't matter. The qb is just going to do this anyway.

All he does is have to get NFL open not Alex Smith open. How many times do you see Alex throwing balls into small windows for WR's? now how many times do you see other QB's do the same thing against us?

Bowe gets plenty open its that Alex doesnt trust himself to throw them kind of passes. HOw many times this year have you seen Alex Smith throw a back shoulder pass? or a Jump ball? It just doesnt happen.

I refuse to beleive that the Chiefs are the ONLY team in the NFL who's WR's cant do this kind of shit. Out of all 32 teams in the NFL. The Chiefs WR's are the only ones that cant? bullshit.

Once again, if Bowe can't consistently get Alex Smith open, then we need someone better as our #1. What other #1 receiver in the league can't get Alex Smith open consistently? Look at the two #1 receivers for the Steelers and Chargers. Antonio Brown constantly gets Alex Smith open and so did Keenan Allen pre-injury. It's not like Roethlisberger and Rivers have to force balls to them like you guys want Alex to do. The fact that you guys are asking him to do this illustrates the point that Bowe isn't the kind of guy you want as your best WR.

Name me another #1 receiver that can't consistently get Alex Smith open and needs the QB to force balls to him. I look around the league and #1 WRs are creating separation, giving QBs ample room to throw the ball and then still having space to make moves and plays after the catch. Bowe isn't doing that. He has 241 yards after catch this season. In 2010, he had 400. So even when Alex Smith throws him the ball, he's gotten so little separation that he can't make any plays after that.

Here is the THING there IS no WR that can get open if Alex Smith is your QB.. YOu could have ****ing AJ Green and Alex wilL NOT throw it deep.

There is a reason that ALex Smith has NEVER had a 1000 yard receiver or a 1000 yard Tight end on his team.

ITS ALEX SMITH. ITs all Alex Smith. I dont see how people dont ****ing get it yet.

Yeah, it always amazes how Bowe gets a shit ton of criticism here because he plays on a team with a QB who can't/won't throw the ball.

The fixation on throwing deep is so hilarious on this board. The NFL is not a damn throw it deep league. It's a YAC league. That's why the Broncos and Patriots offense are so deadly. Not because they're throwing deep balls all over the place, but because WRs get open within 15 yards and get open in a way that they can get YAC. AJ Green himself has 326 yards of YAC this season.

I'll take a WR that can get open within 15 yards and then make the play after the catch consistently than a deep ball threat. Because people on this board severely overestimate the number of times deep balls are thrown in the league.

And yes, I know Smith HAS to throw more deep balls just to keep the defense honest.
