March 12 we get an extra 14 million for the new league year so our cap number is actually like 137 million technically.

Nice. Hopefully they can get Albert on long term to lessen his cap hit.

all im learning last year is Pioli spent a lot of money to field a 2-14 team, one of the highest payrolls of 2012.
that is really sad |

Sad that Cassel and Jackson count for nearly 30 million and we only save half that by cutting them.

The fact that Albert's situation would have a fairly significant impact on our cap situation tells me that they are indeed going to try to extend him to a long term deal before July 15th and forgo drafting Joeckel/Fisher.

How does the equation work to figure how much of a cap savings we get for cutting a player?
Jackson was given a new contract last year...shouldn't his whole salary come off the books? |

So we should:
Cut Cassel. Slash Jackson. Cut Studebaker. Restructure Tamba/Berry. Extend Albert. Boom. |
