The ball did not barely touch his fingertips-lol he had both hands under it- and although it was slightly long on the throw-he saw it coming, had a good read on it and should have caught it- the announcers knew it- and Fasano knew by his body language. Any spin at all that it was Alex's throw is nonsense. A jump, stretch or Dive would have helped- but he didn't do any of those things. But that is how it will be this year.
