RIP Macho Man Randy Savage

http://www.tmz.com/2011/05/20/randy-...stler-florida/
Quote:
Macho Man Randy Savage -- one of the most famous wrestlers of all-time -- died today in a car accident in Tampa, Florida ... TMZ has learned.

TMZ spoke with Randy's brother, Lanny Poffo, who tells us the wrestling legend suffered a heart attack while he was behind the wheel around 10 AM ... and lost control of his vehicle.

Earlier this month, Savage celebrated his 1-year anniversary with his new wife Lynn.

Savage was 58.

Macho Man began wrestling in the WWF in 1985 and became a superstar with his trademark catchphrase "Ooooooh Yeaahhhhh."

I know. A lot of wrestlers die so young. It's unfortunate.

I think a lot of this has to do with their lifestyles. I think being a WWE superstar is one of the toughest careers out there.

Wrestling involves so much. A great majority of these guys are juicing it up throughout their careers. A lot of them are guinea pigs and have to respond and do things under McMahons orders. The nature of their jobs in general aren't easy. Wrestlers are stunt men, actors, and athletes all in one. Plus, they are on the road so much that they probably don't get to spend enough time with their families.

It wouldn't surprise me if a lot of these guys are cokeheads as well. Just too much to handle. They put a lot of stress on themselves and bodies. All these factors combined just have the ability to create a short life. I am sure there are probably more factors involved that create health issues in their lives.

*Great performers. They will always be rememberred for that. But being a wrestler ain't worth it imo. Not if one dies at a young age. No way.

The downers are the worst. Reading Bret Hart's book, it was amazing for him to recount how many guys OD'd on barbiturates.

It's ridiculous that people single out steroids when that's probably the safest thing that they take. A lifetime of that, plus lots of coke and tons and tons of painkillers combined with lack of sleep and constant stress from being on the road all time time will really bring someone down.
