If we sign Albert do we still take a tackle

Got to thinking if we resign Albert he has stated he does not want to play guard so would this rule out taking a tackle in rd 1. What if we drafted Fisher and put him at LG. Would that not make our line a beast for Charles to run behind. O r does signing Albert mean we just go in a different direction.

Personally I am warming up to the idea of drafting Geno and just using him as trade bait. Someone in the 6-9 area would surely take him off our hands and if they didn't then there we go.

We indicated that we are looking for a vet CB.

I'd tag Albert and either trade him for a late 1st/2nd or keep him and draft Joeckel.

I think we might draft multiple OL in this draft. I don't think us being a part of the OL at the combine was a fluke.

Seems like we are going into full "win-now mode" and they gotta help Alex Smith be as successful as he can.

And people are fooling themselves if you think we're trading down. There is nobody worth trading up for in this draft.

And you "win now" by drafting offensive linemen?

If you are going win now, you don't bring in an start a rookie LT. So that flies directly in the face of what you are suggesting.

We have already been told they will not under any circumstance tag Albert.

Someone will want to trade up. We won't get much for it, but soemone will trade up.

If we don't reach a deal with Bowe and are forced to franchise him, Albert is long gone.

Some team is going to throw some serious $$$ at Bowe or Albert (whichever one we don't tag).

Carl Nicks got $47.5 million and he's a ****ing Guard. Albert is gonna get an offer of at least $55 million IMO. Some team will need a LT and overpay for him.

The LT market is saturated this year. We aren't tagging anyone so move the **** on.

Who are we going to draft then? Another DL who can't rush the QB very well?

I think it's going to be some kind of lineman.

We've heard they are enamored with Floyd.

I bet they end up trading back and getting a 2 and maybe a 3, getting raped on value, and taking Floyd, Milliner, Warmack or Cooper.

I'm thinking they end up targeting a guy like Manuel in the 2 or Bray.

There's a very good QB sitting at the top of the draft who's widely considered to be better than all the top guys from 2006-2011. I know we just traded for Alex Smith, but it's almost a crime in this age of the NFL to pass up on that kind of talent when the need is so big and the surrounding draft talent is utter ****ing garbage.

If Reid and Dorsey pass on him for Joeckel, I guess we'll know where their priorities lay. Right in line with Scott Pioli's.

Idk shit about Floyd, but just by looking at his stats, he doesn't get much pressure on the QB. Where does it say we are enamored with him? I must have missed it.

I like that plan, but damn I hate how it is basically the same damn thing we did in 2009.

If the Chiefs grade on players = and in each round the BPA happens to be LT we take him. we could have 3 LT from this draft.
I'm not that comfortable with only 3. Maybe BALT? In every round?

Well take it for what its worth, but it's what TBG's source has confirmed. He's been pretty spot on so far hitting everything thats went down, so I'd say he's pretty in the know.

There are quit a few Florida guys around here that could tell us about Floyd, more than I know.
