Brett Favre is a douchebag.......

"I was optimistic going into this game, I really was," Favre said. "Maybe I was the only one, but I really felt like we could surprise these guys. Obviously, that was not the case."

Seriously though, could he be a bigger douchebag?

I have no idea why the media loves this guy so much. He threw Javon Walker under the bus last off season, saying he was basically dumb and hurting the team by holding out. He blew that playoff game 3 years ago agaisnt the Eagles, but oh that was just Bret trying to win?? He holds the Packers hostage this offseason, doing phoney press confrences where all he does is say what he thinks the front office should do, also add to his on again off again "will he retire"talk.

If this was TO, Chad Johnson, Steve Smith, ect ect acting in this way, he would be such a deamon to the media. But somehow because it is Brett Favre, it is just Bret being competitive, and Brett's love for the game. Gimme a break, it has always been about Brett's love for Brett.

I wish we had Brett right now-he is still, one of the best QB's in the NFL.

Agreed, but with a qualifier: When he is behind an adequate O-Line. What he has now is far worse than our situation.

Jake the Fake had 3 INTs and fumble-single handedly costing his team the game. He is the biggest douche in the NFL-where is the thread calling him out.

You didn't make one single point in this thread mecca...

Honestly, Favre said "I thought we could surprise those guys," and when they didn't, he realized he was wrong. What do you want him to say? Do you want him to say something like, "I'm terrible, this team is terrible, I should've retired, blah blah blah?"

Sure, he should've handled the offseason bullshit a little better, but this thread is just, well, totally stupid.

now that's an absolute joke. He doesn't manage games...he'll make an incredible play or two every game, but he hurts his team by trying to make the impossible possible. He's not the 90's Brett Favre, he's just a washed up "legend" who should've retired two years ago.

I haven't read the 7 pages in this thread - but can someone explain to me what Favre said that is so bad?

To me, it seems to be summarized as - "I thought we could surprise them, but we didn't"

??

I have to agree with you on this one, Farve is a douchbag. He should have retired after that Eagles loss 3 YEARS AGO.
