I would love it if they brought in Ricky Gervais to replace Steve Carrell on The Office.

He was nominated for supporting in a comedy. He lost to Stonestreet which is acceptable.

However, Guest Actor still goes to Zach Gilford in my book. Screw the other nominees.

Would be cool and I'd watch again. If not him, I'd hope for Rhys Darby or whatever his name is.

Yeah Eric Stonestreet is funny as hell. Haven't gotten past about the 75% mark of Season 3 of FNL, I need to do that...

That'd be interesting. I've never seen him in anything other than Flight of the Conchords or those HP Computer commercials, where he essentially plays the same character.

Man I hope that Breaking Bad wins for best Drama Series.

I've never even heard of "The Good Wife." What station is that on?

Yes, you do. Season 3 and 4 remarkably better than 2. I should have told you just to skip it..... You'd be done by now.

That said, last 4 of season 2 were good especially the Gilford bathtub scene with Coach. That sounds so dirty.

And that's exactly like the Michael Scott character.

I really need to catch up on Mad Men too. Maybe I'll do that before FNL.

Is it that show in particular or sitcoms as a general rule with a few exceptions?

Great show. I know you like to think so, but your tastes in Television are not Gospel. The fact that you didnt nominate The Office reveals as much.

I don't know how I could have made that post you quoted any less subjective. Look at my phrasing there: "...isn't my thing. I don't think..." That's two phrases back-to-back that refute your claim that I think my takes are Gospel. It seems like a bad post to make that claim against. I've got dozens of other posts that would make more sense to quote if you're going to lob that one out at me.

If there were a seventh comedy nominated then I would have chosen The Office. I don't feel that last season for that show (or the one before it, or the one before it) was among the strongest comedies on the air. The show seems like a parody of itself most times and it relies too heavily on the fondness that the show's audience has for all of its characters. Still, I watched every episode of last season and would choose it ten times out of ten over The Big Bang Theory.

The show in particular. I hate the writing and I've never laughed during an episode. I've seriously never found a single joke to be funny the few times I've watched it.And while I do find the old "studio audience" "line-line-laugh, line-line-laugh, line-line-big laugh" setup that CBS still uses to be very stale at this point, I enjoy How I Met Your Mother.
