If you like the WWE version of Daniel Bryan, check out his work in Ring of Honor as Bryan Danielson (his real name) if you haven't already. He would routinely wrestle 30-45 minute matches, especially as ROH champion, and ended up using about 75 different finishers. I am still pissed that he doesn't use Cattle Mutilation as his finisher in WWE.

Colt Cabana is a pretty funny dude and a really good wrestler. He was front row when Punk beat Cena the night he "left" the company. Ace Steel, who trained both Cabana and Punk, was in the front row with Colt as well that night.

It's as fake as a TV show, a movie, a play, a ballet or a trip to the circus. They do, however, really get injured. They occasionally die from their injuries. They also suffer from real medical conditions like heart attacks.

I have. Those ROH guys are great! (I love indie wrestling).

Yeah, he is! I'd love to see him get another WWE shot with decent push...I think he and CM Punk would put on one hell of a program! I remember that (the high five to an "unknown fan" lol) and CM Punk giving Colt a shout-out during one of his promos as well.

You know TV, movies, etc. are scripted.

They don't try to pass themselves off as real.

I watch the WWF when I was a kid.

I have HATED it for yrs now.

To each his own.

When the territories died off, wrestles needed to constantly keep their gimmicks fresh. Thus, increased time spent on the mic, developing new stories outside of ring-work.
Back When I used to watch, I liked the talking as much as the wrestling. Stone Cold was gold on the mike. The Rock was great. The NWO was great story.
I've tried to watch, but it's just not the same. IMO.

I stopped on it the other day and saw "The Miz" and was like Wow. Things certainly have changed.

On a side note, I watched Jerry the King lawler knock a guy out COLD. For REAL during a charity football game in Memphis TN when I was about 8 years old. 1988.The guy did something that pissed him off. He was playing DT, and after one play he knocked the shit out of a guy, and you could tell he wished he hadn't done it. He tried to help the guy up, and was apologizing to everyone.

Yes, they do, during the performance. In the same way that the wrestling shows do. The latest Batman movie is a great example of that...unless you believe that Batman is real?

They really don't try to pretend it's real and they are the actual characters like they used to.

Its television, you know its not real.

Whereas wrestling will like to have you think its a real sport.

Its nothing more than a horribly written script, performed by lousy-acting, athletic-looking people.

My nephews, 5 and 8, LOVE it. That says a lot.

If you like, cool. Continue watching.
