We finish out the season 6-3 and we're in the playoffs

7-9 could make the wild card.

SD, Cincy, Cle, Oak, Indy, Carolina

All those games ARE completely winable.

I may be wrong, but I have had him pegged for quite some time as the guy that tries to echo the sentiments of the "average casual fan of this team" in his responses.

He doesn't post stupid shit for attention, he posts what the "average casual fan of this team" would post as his/her response to the topic at hand and we just see it as reeruned (well, because it is reeruned) because most of us are better informed.

Before he started doing so, he was one of the better posters this site had to offer IMO.

Id LOVE to see LA go and have a conversation with DEB ALL CAPS or another one of the true fan extraordinaires that post elsewhere...that would be classic.

LA...when you read this, is there a way to make this happen?

It would truly be comedy gold as I know you could get her all excited...
If that's true, it's so overdone, I don't know how someone could have guessed him for an "average fan" parody.

This thread actually doesn't miss the mark by that much, so I could see what you're saying. I've thought for years there are many fans who are far more concerned with the chance to make the playoffs than actually winning once they get there ("anything can happen!" derp), and they can be pretty oblivious to stuff like how going 10-6 is pointless when you play the two weakest divisions in the NFL. Hell, I've been dreading the "average fan" would post this type of thread for weeks, when they were "only" 1-2, 1-3, 1-4 (especially if they had won another game or two).

But... everything else? Comparing Cassel to Brees? Defending Cassel far beyond what even the most homer fans have said? That crap wasn't "average fan" or even an exaggerated version of one... even if it started as a parody, it's now at best a tired schtick, and at worst just another troll.

Any idiot in this thread that even considers the possibility of playoffs needs their head examined. Aren't you forgetting that we have already played 2-3 of the worst teams in the NFL and they KICKED OUR ASSES, we didn't just lose, they KICKED OUR ASSES. A couple of them at home even.

Pull your heads out of your asses, we have TERRIBLE coaches and TERRIBLE QBs, this team will win a max of 4 games the rest of the year. Realistically speaking, we might have a small chance against Cleve, Car, Indy, and Denver the last game of the year if they are resting starters.

No dude, I reread and thought you might take that as directed towards you, but figured you would see we were making the same point.

"This" added for clarification.

You're giving this team WAY to much credit. The whole organization has given up. They have no answers on how to fix this shit as is evident in their interviews. They will be lucky to win 1 more game this year against either Cle or Car

I'm going to presume that the OP is being sarcastic. In the wise words of Jim Mora Sr. "You kidding me?! Playoffs?! I just hope we can win another game!"

Why the hell would we want to screw up our draft position for a pipe dream?
