I know its the cool thing to do around here is shit on Smith, But hes been solid for us, Some bad games yes every qb has em. Played well in Denver and played well yesterday In Miami, Considering our O-line and WR's give him no help

Seeing that he specifically said he mistook one BLACK backup linebacker for a black starting linebacker, when he could have just said "I mistook one Johnson for another Johnson," comes off sounding a little racist. I don't see what his point was in certifying that the players' skin color had anything to do with his error was my point. That would be like if Warren Moon and Kordell Stewart had been QB's on the same team in the 90's, and a fan said he wasn't aware that one black QB was in for the other black QB, while still acknowledging that he knew their full names.

Just being a realist. I don't care if people act butt hurt over me stating the obvious. If it needs to be pointed out, someone's going to eventually.

you sure do know a lot about Johnsons

you must inspect a lot of them up close and personal since you can tell the difference

Ive been saying it constantly I just don't feel the need to start a thread for it BUT

We need to do this to our roster IMO

Sign a free agent WR next offseason someone like steve smith, who we all already know is Baltimores new Boldin and is tearing it up, Or next offseason I think Boldin too is to be released and he is a receiver alex likes to throw to. Physical possession and fights for the ball type receiver.. Next after signing a proven free agent WR at low cost like those teams did, we need to sign a WR round 1 explosive if hes there, IF NOT we need a dominant pass rusher.

Next year our team should look

QB Alex smith
RB Jamall
RB Knile
WR Bowe
WR Boldin (Or proven free agent low cost)
WR 1st round pick
WR4 whoever improves in camp from this years roster
TE Kelce
TE Fasano

THAT is a powered offense than can compete with other offenses in the league. We just don't have the above right now to compliment our TE and RB spots with our WR threats. No one is fearing our WR corps and we need to change that immediately so we can utilize our TE"s and RB's in screen and crap.

Then, to finish it off after round 1 next year.. Round 2 we get a pass rusher, rounds 3-7 we go all Oline and one DB and Rest D line and maybe one safety if not a DB.
