When he was a rookie he was tweeting out messages saying how he deserved the job over Smith and 49ers management made him delete them. The kid is a PR buffoon.

People (myself included) can say whatever they want about Smith and our frustrations with him as a QB, but the dude seems like a classy person... It's amazing that he portrayed himself as graciously and seemingly supportive as he did when that was going on... |

My sources tell me Reid has loved Kaepernick for a long time

I'm no fan of Kaep, but I am skeptical that this is true. Pretty certain I would have read and remembered.

Haha, if it'd be anyone to clarify that one, it'd be you. You would have been all over that stuff.

Hey, Alex is a good team guy. Ever since he got hurt past year, he's not been as effective, for whatever reason.

"love the guys in the locker room... felt like that was bigger than me"
uhhh I mean that sounds nice but wouldn't you want your leader to fight for his job and not just lay down? I mean if you play shit and then lose your job and be classy about it that's one thing.. when you get it taken away from you because of injury I'd expect the leader of the team to defend himself against management. Dude's missing that extra spark it seems. |

Interesting stat - There is one, QB on the face of the earth who is under 30 in possession of a SB ring.
