2 significant plays on 3rd down and Houston is in coverage, not rushing the passer?

100% agree - our D sucked - I don't want anyone mad at me our offense sucked too - this loss was on our coaching - 2 weeks to prepare for this shit and it was at home.

This. You wanna know who their O.C. outcoached? It wasn't Bob Sutton. It was Andy Reid. The dink and dunk offenses get panicky when they are not able to have a large number of offensive possessions. Either you are ehind or in a relatively close game based on not allowing your own offense big plays. Pittsburg shortened the game, knowing they could quick strike when needed. Haley has more warts than a Virginia toad but he/or Tomlin decided to go this route and it was genius.

The D was a bend but don't break D all year. Just like yesterday. They didn't get Pitt off the field, but still held them to 18 points. You've got to be able to score more than 18 at home.

This is a good point. A large part of the reason Bell didn't destroy us receiving out of the backfield was because they were keeping him in to help contain Houston. Combine that with their effectiveness running the ball and Sutton dropping him back in coverage so much and it's not hard to see why he wasn't much of a factor. It was also his first game time in a month.

Agreed, stevie, but you don't win many NFL Games scoring 16 points, while being Offensively inept for 90% of the game. The D, while hardly sharp at all, kept them out of the endzone. The offense completely shit the bed

absolutely true. The only fault I'd throw at the D is this. This type of KC defense limits the opportunities for the KC offense. This makes each mistake... each drive killing penalty or drop.. all the more crucial.
