He's a young QB, guys

The guy is 23. Tom Brady was still being forced to suck Drew Bledsoe's dick at that age. Peyton Manning was throwing more INTs than TDs.

We're going to be fine. Mahomes is going to be ****ing way better than fine.

Practicing against the Chiefs D? Kind of funny when you think about that.

Maybe put 13 defenders on the field.

There was some stat that flashed on the screen last night, can't remember what it was, but Mahomes was in it along with Unitas and Marino. Johnny Unitas, Dan Marino AND PATRICK MAHOMES. Think about that.

Only QBs in league history to lead the NFL in passing yards and TDs in their first or second season.

Yep, that game was hella entertaining.

Yeah, the NFL will want to have that type of game in prime time more often... it was fun. Defense, not so much for either team.

KC has a hell of a future with this kid and you guys are going to enjoy a lot of football for years to come. The turnovers wouldn't bother me so much. They came in bunches against a good defense, not the norm.

This was a regular season game that will help Patrick improve his knowledge of the game. I blame Andy for having Patrick stay in the pocket when he knew that the Rams were going to bring pressure. He should have rolled out more and used his legs to buy time until he could find an open receiver. Those strip sacks don't happen if Patrick is on the move and avoiding the rush. It's good that this game will leave a bad taste in his mouth because the next time he plays the Rams he will remember the bad plays that occurred and strive not to repeat them. Andy should have made sure that the pass rush was negated. We're still in the drivers seat for home field advantage and the Rams will probably have to go through New Orleans to get to the Superbowl, I like our odds.

I really hope he learns from this game, because if he turns the ball over 5 times in a playoff game, we ain’t winning

But, on the flipside, he was basically the reason we stayed in this shit. I can’t get on too much.

Sometimes you have to get punched in the face to get hungry again. NE loss sucked, but the loss was clearly on our defense. Mahomes hasn't had one of these games yet. I wish it didn't happen last night but I can see a lot of good coming from it. The good news is even at his worst, dude still competed throughout and had by most measures a brilliant game.

He had one bad pass for an INT which was a no-look fluky batted ball at the line INT. 1 INT that his arm was struck during release and an ill advised attempt to push the ball down the field for a TD when he just needed 30 yards or so to get into FG range. The 2 fumbles would have happened to any QB. Just great plays by a HoF DT in his prime.

Mahomes played one helluva game. Clearly head and shoulders better than Goff.

Thank You Buffalo Bills!

That was the best game I've ever watched period.

What FA won't be crawling over broken glass to play for this team for years to come.

We are the future of the NFL , it's just a matter of time before they figure out how to fix the D and balance this team out.

The defense controlled Gurley and settled down making stops after a penalty-filled 1st quarter where the secondary got eaten up.

Chiefs finish 13-3 at worst, but I’m leaning 14-2 and the #1 seed in the AFC.
Best post so far in this thread.

Look, what would this game be like with Alex?

Everybody needs to chill out, that was a very entertaining game. We are in "GOOD HANDS WITH MAHOMES " and the years to come.

Now, let him learn by his mistakes, as well as the team! There was plenty of blame to go around from penalties, blown coverages, not able to block for Pat, coaches, play calling, not challenging the one catch before a Rams TD, and the so called " ALL STAR OFFICIALS " that seemed to be one sided for the most part and missed several calls, most of all the noted catch above and the illegal procedure on the RT on the 3rd & goal Goff TD run.

A lot of shit happened in a very entertaining game!

Just enjoy it!

Nobody is perfect!
I seen that too, Kid needs to learn to take the fg and go to OT and win it. That play was the one that just disheartened me. It was there but Pat wanted it all.

Mahomes is still a young QB. He will make some mistakes and last night he made too many. Still, he made a lot of great plays and kept us in the game and had a lead with 2 minutes to go. He learns from mistakes and I think he will learn a lot from this game last night. First, gotta step up in the pocket and not let Donald get to you. The other thing he could have done was to go out around Kelce to the right and either make a good throw or run it. There was plenty of time. I'm sure Andy and staff will point out those errors and he will eliminate those kinds of things.

We're still in the driver's seat for the #1 seed, with a QB who's proven no comeback is insurmountable, about as healthy as a team could expect to be at this point in the season, and all with a month and a half to fix some issues.

We'll be fine.
No lie, this one is hurting, I can't help it, I get too emotionally invested, but what you said is very true.
