Not that this year hasn't done that but I couldn't be more excited by all of the young arms than I arms after that. Lights out for Wacha, Martinez and Rosental (on little rest).

Did not watch a single second of the game today. I had it DVR'ing, but while out, I couldn't stop myself from checking the score. Amazing performance from Wacha.
Let's not get too cocky yet. We're in a good position, but the series is far from over.

im going to be Hamas here, the Dodgers completely gave them first 2 games away. They had more hits in both games and still lost, hadmen in scoring position and completely shit the bed again. Dodgers have been like that all season though, so its not a surprise at all.
Hopefully, they will get their heads out of their asses n hit. Puig and Gonzo have been garbage. Puig is pressing to much, his ass just needs to slow the **** down a tad. Hopefully he makes adjustments, cause he was hitting good against the Braves who had the best NL era as a team. Anyways, on to game 3. Hopefully the dodgers can hold down the fort at home. They been down big this season, so its not unfamiliar for them. |

Even if the Dodgers win one of those two games and come back in game 5 and 6 with wins by Greinke and Kershaw, they would probably again face Waino in game 7 on 4 days rest.

Puig is getting exposed as an immature hitter. He may have tremendous talent and may be an All-Star someday his reactions are not compatible with long term success in MLB. Why do you think Beltran excels in the playoffs? You can't be slamming down bats, sitting on the bench with your head in your hands every time you strike out.

Beltran is way different he's 37 years old and has been there done that for a long long time. Puig will adjust. I'll take his bad for all the good he's done this year. The Dodgers were like 30-42 at one point. |

Beltran did it when he was much younger too. Puig reminds me of Bo Jackson who could look spectacular but in the end had a career avg of .250 and slugging less than .500. He also struck out well in excess of 100 times each year he was a starter, topping out at 172 in 1989 when he was considered an all-star. Puig had 97 Ks this year despite less than 400 AB and walked only 36 times. He's an impatient first ball hitter.

Another note:
Puig really ****ed the Dodgers in Game 1 by first pitch swinging after Mattingly pinch-ran with Dee Gordon. Gordon was supposed to try a straight steal first. Regarding tonight's game: I should be amped up about the Cardinals' shot to put the series in a chokehold, but I also know that they are genetically engineered to maximize stress in their fanbase. So, with that said I have a feeling they lose tonight, because that is what will lead to the most angst and uncertainty over the longest period of time.
